Setup
Follow these steps to install your DDPAI N5 Dual Dash Camera:
- Locate the OBD Port: Identify your vehicle's OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) port. This is typically found at the lower left of the dashboard or above the accelerator pedal.
- Install the OBD Cable: Once the OBD port is located, connect the OBD cable from the Hardwire Kit to the vehicle's OBD port. Ensure the switch on the OBD cable is set to the ACC position.
- Connect Hardwire Kit Components: Connect the Type-C Connector (A) to the Core Module (B) of the OBD Intelligent Hardwire Kit.
- Mount the Front Camera: Choose a suitable location on your windshield, preferably behind the rearview mirror, to ensure an unobstructed view and minimal distraction. Clean the area thoroughly before applying the adhesive mount.
- Mount the Rear Camera: Install the rear camera on your rear windshield. Ensure it has a clear view of the road behind. Connect the rear camera to the front camera using the provided cable.
- Route the Power Cable: Carefully route the power cable from the dash camera to the OBD Intelligent Hardwire Kit, tucking it along the windshield trim and dashboard to keep it neat and out of the way.
- Alternative Wiring (if needed): If you encounter compatibility issues with the standard OBD connection, you can use the Spare 3-Lead Wire. Connect the Type-C Connector (A) to the Spare 3-Lead Wire (C), and then connect the three terminals of the spare wire to your car's fuse box. Operating Instructions
The DDPAI N5 Dual Dash Camera offers a range of features to enhance your driving safety and vehicle security:
- Power On/Off: The dash camera will automatically power on when your vehicle starts and power off when the engine is turned off, provided it's connected via the OBD Intelligent Hardwire Kit.
- Recording: Continuous loop recording begins automatically upon power-on. Videos are saved in segments, and older files are overwritten when the memory card is full.
- 4K UHD Resolution: The front camera records in stunning 4K UHD, capturing clear and detailed footage. The rear camera also provides high-definition recording.
Video: Demonstrates the DDPAI N5 Dual's features including compact design, dual-channel recording (front 4K, rear HD), NightVIS, Realcube Technology, AI Motion Detection, and Radar Smart Parking Mode. - NightVIS Technology: Enhances video clarity and detail in low-light conditions, ensuring important events are captured even at night.
- Realcube Technology: Optimizes image processing for more vivid colors and sharper details in recorded footage.
- AI Base Radar 24/7 Smart Parking Mode:
After the vehicle is turned off and locked, the dash cam enters parking monitoring mode. The AI millimeter-wave radar monitors the vehicle's surroundings. Upon detecting suspicious motion within a 3m front and 4m rear range, the camera automatically records a 10-second video clip. This feature is battery-friendly, reducing power consumption by 87% compared to time-lapse recording, offering up to 15-day recordings.

- Firmware Updates: Check the DDPAI app periodically for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
- Memory Card: Format the memory card regularly (e.g., once a month) through the dash cam settings to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth recording. Replace the memory card if it shows signs of wear or error.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect all cables for any signs of damage or wear.
Troubleshooting
- Camera not powering on:
- Ensure the OBD cable is securely connected to both the vehicle's OBD port and the dash camera.

- Poor video quality:
- Clean the camera lenses.
- Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lenses.
- Check if the resolution settings in the app are set to 4K UHD.
- Parking mode not activating:
- Confirm the OBD Intelligent Hardwire Kit is correctly installed and providing continuous power.
- Allow 5-15 minutes after locking the car for parking mode to activate.
- Check the low voltage protection setting in the app; if the car battery voltage is too low, parking mode may not activate to protect the battery.
