Thank you for choosing BSEED. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your new smart light switches.

1. Introduction

The BSEED E-Series Zigbee Click Smart Light Switches are advanced wall-mounted switches designed for modern smart homes. They feature a durable plastic frame, a subtle yellow backlight, and are available in 1, 2, 3, and 4 gang configurations. These switches enable APP control, voice control, and multi-control (2-way/3-way) functionality when paired with a compatible Zigbee gateway hub (e.g., Tuya Gateway) and integrated with smart home platforms like Tuya, SmartLife, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home.

2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before installation and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or property damage.

  • Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before installing or servicing the switch.
  • Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or in accordance with local electrical codes.
  • Do not install in wet locations or where exposed to extreme temperatures.
  • Ensure the switch is compatible with your electrical system (100-240V AC, 50/60Hz).
  • Do not exceed the maximum load power of 3-300W per gang.

5. Installation and Setup

5.1 Electrical Wiring

WARNING: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding with wiring.

  1. Turn off the main power supply to the switch location at your circuit breaker.
  2. Remove your old switch from the wall box.
  3. Identify the Live Wire (L), Neutral Wire (N), and Light Wire (L1). If you are unsure, consult a qualified electrician.
  4. Connect the wires to the BSEED Zigbee Smart Switch as shown in the wiring diagram below:
    • L Terminal: Connect to the Live Wire.
    • L1 Terminal: Connect to the Light Wire (load).
    • N Terminal: Connect to the Neutral Wire.
  5. Securely fasten the switch into the wall box using the provided screws.
  6. Reinstall the switch plate.
  7. Turn the power back ON at the circuit breaker.

5.2 Zigbee Gateway Hub Connection

This smart switch requires a Zigbee Gateway Hub (e.g., Tuya Gateway) to enable smart functionalities. Ensure your gateway is set up and connected to your home Wi-Fi network.

5.3 App Installation and Pairing

  1. Download the Tuya Smart or SmartLife App from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Register or log in to your account.
  3. Add your Zigbee Gateway Hub to the app if you haven't already.
  4. In the app, select your Zigbee Gateway Hub, then choose to add a new sub-device.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to put the switch into pairing mode (usually by pressing and holding a button on the switch for a few seconds until an indicator light flashes).
  6. Once the switch is discovered, name it and assign it to a room.

6. Operation

6.1 Manual Control

Simply press the switch panel to turn the connected lights ON or OFF, just like a traditional light switch.

6.2 App Control

After successful pairing, you can control your lights remotely using the Tuya Smart or SmartLife App.

  • On/Off Control: Tap the switch icon in the app to toggle lights.
  • Timing Function: Set schedules for your lights to turn on or off automatically.
  • Family Sharing: Share control of the switch with other family members through the app.

6.3 Voice Control

Integrate your BSEED Zigbee switch with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for convenient voice control.

  1. Ensure your Zigbee Gateway Hub is linked to your Alexa or Google Home account via the Tuya Smart/SmartLife app settings.
  2. Discover new devices in your Alexa or Google Home app.
  3. Once discovered, you can use voice commands like:
    • "Alexa, turn on the living room light."
    • "Hey Google, turn off the bedroom light."

6.4 Multi-Control (2-Way/3-Way Function)

To achieve 2-way or 3-way control (e.g., controlling one light from two or three different switches), you must set up a multi-control association within the SmartLife or Tuya App. This functionality requires a Zigbee Gateway Hub.

  1. Ensure all switches intended for multi-control are paired to the same Zigbee Gateway Hub and added to your app.
  2. In the app, navigate to the settings of one of the switches.
  3. Look for an option like "Multi-Control Association" or "2-Way Switch Setup".
  4. Follow the app's instructions to link the switches together.

6.5 LED Indicator

The switch features a yellow LED indicator. The brightness of this indicator can be adjusted through the Tuya Smart or SmartLife App settings, allowing you to customize it for your environment.

7. Maintenance

  • Clean the switch surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the switch is free from dust and debris to maintain optimal performance.
  • Periodically check for firmware updates in the Tuya Smart/SmartLife App to ensure your switch has the latest features and security patches.

8. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Solution
Switch not responding to touch.
  • Check if the power is on at the circuit breaker.
  • Ensure wiring is correct and secure.
  • If recently installed, try resetting the switch by turning off power at the breaker for 10 seconds, then turning it back on.
Switch not pairing with the app.
  • Ensure you have a Zigbee Gateway Hub and it is connected to your network and the app.
  • Make sure the switch is in pairing mode (indicator light flashing).
  • Bring the switch closer to the Zigbee Gateway Hub during pairing.
  • Check your Wi-Fi network for interference or signal strength issues.
Voice control not working.
  • Verify that your Zigbee Gateway Hub is successfully linked to your Alexa or Google Home account.
  • Ensure the switch is discovered and named correctly in the Alexa/Google Home app.
  • Check your internet connection.
LED indicator not working or too dim/bright.
  • Check the LED brightness settings in the Tuya Smart/SmartLife App.
  • If the LED is completely off, ensure the switch has power.

9. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, ensure your Zigbee Gateway Hub is centrally located within your home.
  • Consider using the timing function in the app to automate your lighting for energy saving and convenience.
  • When setting up multi-control, clearly label your switches in the app to avoid confusion.
  • If you experience connectivity issues, try restarting your Zigbee Gateway Hub and your home router.
