2. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.
2.1 Package Contents
Before installation, ensure all components are present:
- Navirider 13-inch Head Unit
- Power Harness (Plug and Play)
- GPS Antenna

2.2 Installation Steps (Land Rover Defender 2018-2024)
The system is designed for non-destructive installation, utilizing a plug-and-play cable that does not require cutting original car wiring. This preserves your car's warranty.

- Prepare the Dashboard: Carefully remove the original car's trim panels and radio unit. This typically involves using plastic pry tools to avoid damage.
- Connect Wiring Harness: Connect the provided plug-and-play wiring harness to the original car's harness. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Connect USB Interfaces: The system supports two USB interfaces for external storage or device connection. Connect these as needed.
- Connect LVDS and Power Cables: Connect the LVDS cable and the main power cable to the new head unit.
- Install GPS Antenna: Mount the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or under the windshield.

- GPS Signal Lost: Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear view of the sky. Check for obstructions.
- Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the head unit and your phone. Delete previous pairings and try re-pairing.
