1. Introduction

4. Setup and Connection

The SMAILWOLF M5 mouse supports three connection modes: 2.4G Wireless, Bluetooth, and Wired. You can switch between these modes freely based on your needs.

4.1. Wired Connection

1. Connect the provided Type-C cable to the mouse's Type-C port and the other end to a USB port on your computer.
2. The mouse will automatically switch to wired mode. The indicator light will show a steady green.
3. The mouse is now ready for use.

4.2. 2.4G Wireless Connection

1. Locate the 2.4G USB receiver, typically stored in the mouse's underside compartment or the charging base.
2. Plug the 2.4G USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
3. Set the power switch on the mouse to the "2.4G" position. The indicator light will flash red and green, indicating it's searching for the receiver.
4. Once connected, the indicator light will turn steady green. The mouse is now ready for wireless use.

4.3. Bluetooth Connection

1. Set the power switch on the mouse to the "Bluetooth" position. The indicator light will briefly flash green, then blue.
2. Press the dedicated pairing key (located on the underside of the mouse) for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. The indicator light will flash rapidly blue.
3. On your device (laptop, tablet, phone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
4. Select "SMAILWOLF M5" from the list of available devices.
5. Once paired, the indicator light on the mouse will turn steady blue. The mouse is now connected via Bluetooth. You can switch between BT1 and BT2 channels using the pairing key if available, or a dedicated switch.

5. Operation

5.1. DPI Adjustment

The M5 mouse features 6 adjustable DPI settings (800-1200-1600-2400-3200-12000) for precise control. Use the dedicated DPI button (usually located behind the scroll wheel) to cycle through the settings. Each press will change the sensitivity, allowing you to adapt to different tasks or games.

5.2. RGB Lighting Control

The magnetic charging base features customizable RGB lighting. To adjust the lighting effects, gently touch the designated area on the charging base. This allows you to cycle through different lighting modes or turn the illumination on/off.

5.3. Charging the Mouse

The M5 mouse is equipped with a 500mAh rechargeable battery. When the battery is low, the indicator light on the mouse may flash or change color. To charge:

• Using the Magnetic Charging Base: Place the mouse onto the magnetic charging base. Ensure the charging contacts align. The base will light up, and the mouse's indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
• Using the Type-C Cable: Connect the Type-C charging cable directly to the mouse's Type-C port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). The mouse's indicator light will show charging status.

5.4. Programmable Buttons and Software

The SMAILWOLF M5 mouse features 6 buttons, which can be customized using a dedicated application. This software allows for DPI adjustment, return rate settings, and programming of key functions for a personalized experience.
