4. Installation

The K2178 Security Solar Light is designed for easy, self-contained wall mounting. Follow these steps for optimal performance:

1. Choose a Location: Select a location that receives direct sunlight for 6-8 hours daily to ensure the solar panel charges effectively. The recommended mounting height is 3-10 inches for optimal motion detection.
2. Mark Drill Holes: Hold the mounting bracket against the wall at your desired location and mark the positions for the three screw holes.
3. Drill Holes: Use a drill to create three holes at the marked positions.
4. Insert Expansion Plugs: Insert the provided expansion plugs into the drilled holes.
5. Mount the Light: Align the mounting bracket with the expansion plugs and secure the light using the provided screws. Tighten firmly.
6. Adjust Angle: The lamp head features a 360° rotating bracket, allowing you to adjust the lighting and detection angle as needed.

5. Operation

The K2178 solar light operates automatically from dusk to dawn and can be controlled via the integrated ON/OFF switch or the included remote control.

5.1 Initial Setup

Before first use, ensure the product switch is turned ON. Allow the solar light to charge under direct sunlight for at least 8 hours to activate the battery. Remove the insulating paper from the remote control's battery compartment before use.

5.2 Lighting Modes

The light features three distinct operating modes, selectable via the remote control:

• Mode 1 (Sensor Mode): When motion is detected, the light turns on at full brightness. After approximately 15 seconds of no motion, the light turns OFF. Red warning lights may flash.
• Mode 2 (Slight Light Mode): The light stays dim to conserve power. When motion is detected, it becomes fully bright as a warning. After approximately 15 seconds of no motion, it returns to dim light. Red warning lights may flash.
• Mode 3 (Dim Light Mode): The light maintains a continuous dim illumination throughout the night.

• Motion sensor not working:
