6. Setup and Initial Connection

Before operating the digital manifold gauge, ensure all connections are secure and appropriate for the refrigeration system you are working on.

  1. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the device.
  2. Connect Hoses:
    • Connect the blue hose to the low side pressure port on the manifold and to the low-pressure service port of the refrigeration system.
    • Connect the red hose to the high side pressure port on the manifold and to the high-pressure service port of the refrigeration system.
    • Connect the yellow hose to the filling/recycling/vacuuming port on the manifold. This hose will be connected to a vacuum pump, refrigerant tank, or recovery unit as needed.
  3. Attach Temperature Clamps: Securely attach the wired temperature clamps to the refrigerant lines (e.g., suction line for low side temperature, liquid line for high side temperature) to measure pipe temperatures accurately. Plug the clamps into the designated temperature sensor inputs on the manifold.
  4. (LMG-10W Only) Bluetooth Connection: If using the LMG-10W model, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and pair it with the manifold gauge via the Elitech app for extended refrigerant libraries and data logging.

7. Operation

The Elitech Digital Manifold Gauge offers various modes and functions to assist with HVAC/R diagnostics and servicing.

7.1 Dual Channel Pressure and Temperature Measurement

The device accurately measures and displays real-time pressure and temperature values from both the high and low sides of the refrigeration system. This data is crucial for assessing the system's operating status.
