1. Introduction

The HotRC CT6A is a high-performance 6-channel 2.4GHz remote control system designed for various RC car and ship models, including drift and climbing vehicles. It offers precise control, multiple power supply options, and advanced features for an enhanced remote control experience.

3. Setup

3.1 Transmitter Overview

3.2 Battery Installation

The CT6A transmitter supports three power supply methods: 18650 battery, 2S lithium battery, and AA batteries. Two batteries can be used simultaneously. The remote control can also charge the 18650 battery via its USB-C port.

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located at the bottom of the transmitter handle.
  2. Insert the chosen batteries (e.g., 4x AA batteries or 1x 18650 battery) according to the polarity markings.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.3 Receiver Connection (F-06A)

The F-06A receiver is a 6-channel unit. Connect your servos and ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) to the corresponding channels on the receiver. The receiver also features a voltage return interface.

3.4 Code Matching (Binding)

To establish communication between the transmitter and receiver, follow these steps:

  1. First, power on the receiver.
  2. Press the receiver's `BIND` button.
  3. Finally, turn on the transmitter power.

Receiver Light Status:

  • Receiver light flashing slowly without signal.
  • Receiver light flashing and frequency matching.
  • Receiver light remains on and connected.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Transmitter Display and Controls

The CT6A transmitter features an LCD display that provides real-time information and various control buttons for fine-tuning and advanced functions.

The display shows transmitter voltage, return voltage from the receiver, and signal strength. This allows for constant monitoring of your system's status.

4.2 Advanced Functions

  • Lock Function: To prevent accidental operation, the setting function keys can be locked.
  • Hybrid Control Function: Remote control channels CH1 & CH2 can be mixed control. Additionally, CH5 & CH6 can also be mixed control.
  • Channel Positive and Negative: CH1 & CH2 can be set with both positive and negative positions. The remote control also has a runaway protection function and allows parameter settings according to specific requirements.

4.3 Special Features

  • Single-Handed Operation: The unique design structure allows for comfortable single-handed operation.
  • Dual Color Sponge Wheel: Provides a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing feel.
  • Metal Pendant & Electroplating Button: The red CNC metal pendant can be used to install a mobile phone bracket, and electroplating technology enhances the buttons' appearance.

5. Maintenance

  • Keep the remote control and receiver clean and free from dust and moisture.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Ensure the USB-C port is free from debris when charging or connecting for simulation.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Loss of Control Protection

This feature helps prevent your model from running away if the signal is lost.

Setting Method:

  1. First, successfully align the transmitter with the receiver (bind).
  2. Turn off the remote control first.
  3. Press and hold the `Lower Fine Adjustment` button first, and then turn on the power switch of the remote control. The remote control light will sound a prompt, and the receiver light will flash quickly at the same time, indicating entering the setting state.
  4. At this point, the throttle channel can be set for runaway protection function.
  5. After the settings are completed, press the `Lower Fine Adjustment` button to exit.

Note: The default factory value for throttle channel runaway protection is the lowest or center point. Please do not use the protection value for out of control function without special usage requirements.

6.2 Locking Function

This function prevents accidental changes to settings.

Setting Method:

  1. Turn off the remote control first.
  2. Press and hold the `Channel Front and Back` button first, and then turn on the power switch of the remote control.

The display lock icon will prompt. The opening and closing methods of the locking function are the same.
