8. Troubleshooting
8.1. Common Issues
- Camera not connecting to WiFi:
- Ensure the camera is within range of your WiFi router.
- Verify that you are connecting to a 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz network (the camera supports both).
- Double-check the WiFi password.
- Try resetting the camera and re-attempting the connection process. - No video feed or poor quality:
- Check your internet connection speed. A stable and fast connection is required for HD video streaming.
- Ensure the camera lens is clean and unobstructed.
- If using WiFi, try moving the camera closer to the router or reducing interference. - Motion detection not working:
- Verify that motion detection is enabled in the app settings.
- Adjust the detection sensitivity and detection areas as needed.
- Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's view in the detection zones. - SD card not recording or full:
- Ensure the SD card is inserted correctly and is not damaged.
- Format the SD card through the app (this will erase all data).
- If the card is full, the camera typically overwrites the oldest footage. Check app settings for recording modes (e.g., loop recording). - Two-way audio issues:
- Ensure your phone's microphone and speaker are working correctly.
- Check the volume settings in the app and on your phone.
- Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's microphone or speaker.
9. User Tips
- WiFi Connectivity: The camera requires a WiFi connection to function. It supports both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks.
- SD Card Management: When the memory card is full, the camera is designed to automatically overwrite the oldest recordings, ensuring continuous recording. You can check the remaining space and manage recordings through the cam720 app.
- Optimal Placement: For outdoor installations, consider placing the camera under an overhang or in a sheltered spot to further protect it from harsh elements, even though it is IP66 rated.
