Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Tuya P50 Fingerprint Smart Padlock. This device combines advanced fingerprint recognition technology with Bluetooth connectivity and traditional mechanical keys to provide a secure and convenient locking solution for your home, garage, or other personal belongings. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new smart padlock.

Setup
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the padlock using the provided USB Type-C cable. The charging port is located at the bottom of the padlock. A red indicator light will typically show during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged.

2. App Installation and Pairing
- Download the 'Tuya Smart' or 'Smart Life' app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Register or log in to your account.
- Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled.
- In the app, tap '+' to add a device. The app should automatically discover the padlock via Bluetooth. If not, select 'Security & Video Surveillance' -> 'Smart Lock' and follow the in-app instructions.
- Follow the prompts to pair the padlock with your account.
3. Fingerprint Registration
The padlock supports up to 20 sets of fingerprints. The first two fingerprints registered are typically designated as administrator fingerprints.
- Open the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app and select your P50 padlock.
- Navigate to the 'Fingerprint Management' section.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new fingerprint. You will be prompted to place your finger on the fingerprint sensor multiple times from different angles to ensure accurate recognition.
- Repeat for all desired fingerprints.

Operating Instructions
1. Unlocking with Fingerprint
Place a registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The padlock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized. A blue light typically indicates successful recognition and unlocking.
2. Unlocking with App (Bluetooth)
- Ensure your phone is within Bluetooth range of the padlock.
- Open the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app and select your P50 padlock.
- Tap the 'Unlock' button or icon within the app interface.

3. Unlocking with Mechanical Key
In case of battery depletion or other issues, you can use the provided mechanical backup keys. Insert the key into the keyhole (usually located at the bottom or side, often hidden under a cover) and turn to unlock.

4. Viewing Unlock Records
The Tuya Smart/Smart Life app allows you to view a history of unlock events, including who unlocked the padlock and when.
- Open the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app and select your P50 padlock.
- Navigate to the 'Unlock Records' or 'Activity Log' section to see the history.

Maintenance
- Charging: Recharge the padlock when the battery is low. The app will typically notify you of low battery status. Use the provided USB Type-C cable for charging.
- Cleaning: Wipe the padlock body and fingerprint sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
- Water Resistance: The padlock is designed to be waterproof, making it suitable for outdoor use. However, avoid prolonged submersion in water.
- Key Storage: Keep the mechanical backup keys in a safe and accessible location, separate from the padlock itself.
Troubleshooting

User Tips
- Regular Charging: To avoid being locked out, monitor the battery level via the app and charge the padlock regularly, especially before extended periods of use.
- Administrator Fingerprints: Always ensure at least two administrator fingerprints are registered for redundancy.
- Gateway for Remote Access: If you require remote unlocking or monitoring beyond Bluetooth range, consider integrating the padlock with a Tuya-compatible smart home gateway.
- Backup Keys: Keep your mechanical backup keys in a secure, easily accessible location, but not with the padlock itself.
- Fingerprint Placement: For best recognition, place your finger flat on the sensor, covering as much surface area as possible, and try different angles during registration.
