Follow these steps to brew a fresh pot of coffee:
- Fill Water Tank: Open the lid of the water tank and fill it with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. The water level indicator on the side will help you measure. Do not exceed the "10 cups" maximum mark.
- Insert Filter: Recline the filter cartridge. Insert a paper filter (not included) into the cartridge.
- Add Ground Coffee: Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the paper filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, but adjust to your taste.
- Close Filter: Slide the filter cartridge back into place securely.
- Place Carafe: Place one of the thermal carafes, with its lid properly closed, onto the warming plate. Ensure it is positioned correctly to activate the anti-drip mechanism.
- Start Brewing: Plug the appliance into a suitable wall outlet. Press the On/Off button. The control light will illuminate, indicating that the brewing process has started.
- Wait for Brewing: The machine will automatically brew the coffee. The anti-drip feature will prevent coffee from dripping when the carafe is briefly removed during brewing.

- Switch Off: After serving, press the On/Off button again to turn off the machine and unplug it from the wall outlet.
- Second Carafe: If you wish to brew a second pot, repeat steps 1-9, using the second thermal carafe.
7. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine.
7.1 Daily Cleaning
- Unplug: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Discard Filter: Remove and discard the used paper filter and ground coffee.
- Wash Removable Parts: Wash the thermal carafes, their lids, and the removable filter cartridge in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are generally not dishwasher safe unless specified otherwise in a full manual.
- Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Do NOT Immerse: Never immerse the main unit of the coffee machine in water or any other liquid.
7.2 Descaling
Mineral deposits (limescale) from water can build up in your coffee machine and affect its performance and the taste of your coffee. Descale your machine regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-4 weeks).
- Prepare Descaling Solution: Mix a descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions (e.g., white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaling agent).
- Fill Water Tank: Pour the descaling solution into the water tank up to the "10 cups" mark.
- Run Cycle: Place an empty thermal carafe on the warming plate. Turn on the coffee machine and let half of the solution brew through.
- Soak: Turn off the machine and let it stand for approximately 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to work.
- Complete Cycle: Turn the machine back on and let the remaining solution brew through.
- Rinse Cycles: After descaling, run at least two full brewing cycles with fresh, cold water only to rinse out any residual descaling solution. Discard the water after each cycle.
