Setup
1. Powering the Mixer
The Q48 Audio Mixer can be powered via its DC 5V input. It also features a built-in 1200mAh 18650 battery for portable use.
- Locate the DC 5V input port on the side of the mixer.
- Connect the provided USB data cable (Figure 5: USB Data Cable) to the DC 5V input.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible 5V/2A power adapter (not always included) or a USB power source.
- To use the built-in battery, ensure it is charged. The mixer will automatically switch to battery power when disconnected from an external power source.

2. Connecting Audio Sources
The Q48 mixer offers 8 channel signal inputs, which can be configured as 4 stereo inputs.
- Microphone/Line Inputs (Channels 1-4): Use the MIC/LINE jacks for connecting microphones or line-level instruments.
- Stereo Input Configuration: Only the 'A' channel of each pair (e.g., Channel 1A, 2A, etc.) functions as a mono input. When both 'A' and 'B' channels of a pair are accessed simultaneously, they function as a stereo input.
3. Connecting Outputs
- Main Output (MAIN OUT A, B): Connect your speakers, headphones, or recording device to the MAIN OUT A and B jacks.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the power button located near the MAIN OUT section to turn the mixer on or off.
2. Adjusting Channel Volume
Each of the four channels has a dedicated VOLUME knob. Rotate clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease.
3. Applying Effects (EFX)
Each channel also has an EFX knob. This controls the amount of effect applied to that specific channel. The mixer features an independent reverberation effect.
- Reverb Effect Switch: Use the independent reverberation effect selection switch for each stereo channel. Typically, this is turned ON for microphones and OFF for instruments.
- DELAY Knob: Adjusts the delay time of the reverberation effect.
- REPEAT Knob: Controls the number of repetitions for the reverberation effect.

This image visually represents the mixer's capability to produce excellent sound quality and apply reverberation effects, with a graphic equalizer display in the background.
4. Main Output Control
- MAIN Knob: Controls the overall output volume of the mixer.
- LINE/MIC Switch: Toggles between line-level and microphone-level input sensitivity for the main input.
- STEREO/MONO Switch: Selects between stereo and mono output modes.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Q48 Audio Mixer, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the mixer. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
- Dust Protection: Keep the mixer covered when not in use to prevent dust accumulation in the ports and controls.
- Storage: Store the mixer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
- Battery Care: If using the built-in battery, ensure it is charged periodically even when not in active use to maintain battery health.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Q48 Audio Mixer, try the following steps:
- No Power: Ensure the USB power cable is securely connected to both the mixer and a working 5V/2A power source. If using battery, ensure it is charged.
- No Sound Output: Check all cable connections (inputs and outputs). Verify that all VOLUME and MAIN knobs are turned up. Ensure the correct input sensitivity (LINE/MIC switch) and output mode (STEREO/MONO switch) are selected.
- Distorted Sound: Reduce input volume levels to prevent clipping. Check cable integrity.
- Effects Not Working: Ensure the EFX knobs are turned up and the reverb effect switch is engaged for the desired channels. Check DELAY and REPEAT settings.
