3.1. Mortise Dimensions

4. Installation Guide
The following steps detail the installation process. It is recommended to watch the accompanying video for visual guidance.

4.1. Handle Direction Adjustment
- Unscrew the handle from the panel.
- Pull out the handle.
- Rotate the handle 90 degrees to match the desired door opening direction.
- Reinsert the handle.
- Screw the handle back into place.
- Ensure the triangular mark on the handle is opposite to the door opening direction.
4.2. Panel Gasket Installation
- Install the front panel gasket onto the front panel.
- Install the back panel gasket onto the back panel.
4.3. Mortise and Lock Cylinder Installation
- Insert the mortise body into the door.
- Secure the mortise body with screws.
- Insert the square shaft, ensuring the point on the shaft aligns with the small hole.
- Insert the lock cylinder.
- Secure the lock cylinder with screws.
4.4. Final Assembly
- Install the front panel onto the door.
- Install the base plate.
- Install the base plate sleeve screws.
- Adjust the front and back panels to ensure proper alignment, then tighten all screws.
- Connect the power cables between the front and back panels.
- Carefully tuck any excess power cables into the door slot.
- Install the back panel.
- Secure the back panel with screws.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Basic Lock Operation
- Testing Lock Switch: After installation, test the handle and lock mechanism to ensure smooth operation.
- Entering Setup Menu: Press the '*' key followed by the '#' key on the smart lock keypad.
5.2. User Management
- Administrator Settings: Press '1' to enter the new user creation menu. After the voice prompt, you can enroll a fingerprint, set a password, or register a card.
- Adding Normal User: Press '1' to enter the new user creation menu. After the voice prompt 'Operation successful', you can input a fingerprint, password, or card.
- Deleting Normal User: Press '2' to enter the delete user menu. Input the user ID you wish to delete.
5.3. System Settings
To access system settings, press '3' from the setup menu.
- Time Setting: Press '1'. Follow voice prompts to enter the current date (YYMMDD, e.g., 211202 for Dec 2, 2021) and time (HHMM, 24-hour format, e.g., 1425 for 2:25 PM).
- Volume Adjustment: Press '2'. Press '1' to increase volume, '2' to decrease volume. Adjust as needed.
- Verification Mode: Press '3'. Select '1' for single verification unlock or '2' for double verification unlock, based on your security preference.
- Language Selection: Press '4'. Select '1' for Chinese or '2' for English.
- Always Open Mode: Press '5'. Select '1' to close always open mode or '2' to open always open mode.
5.4. App Integration (Tuya Smart)
- Download & Login: Open the 'Tuya Smart' application. Log in or register for a new account.
- Add Device: From the main menu, click 'Manual Add' at the top. Navigate to 'Security Sensor' and select 'Door Lock (Wi-Fi)'.
- Wi-Fi Connection: The app will prompt you to select a 2.4G Wi-Fi hotspot and enter its password. After successful connection, click 'Next Step'.
- Pairing: On the smart lock, press '1#' and enter your administrator authorization. The lock will enter pairing mode. Observe if the '0' key on the lock's touch screen is flashing. If it is, confirm on your phone to proceed. The app will display 'Added Successfully' upon completion.
5.5. Remote Access Features
- Remote Unlock: Wake the smart lock screen and press the '#' key (doorbell function). Your phone will receive a doorbell notification. Click to view the 'Remote unlock request notification'. In safe conditions, click 'Remote Unlock' on your phone.
- Dynamic Password: Swipe left on your phone screen to enter the 'Remote Dynamic Password' interface. Click 'Click to get' to generate a dynamic password. Input this password on the smart lock to open the door.
- Temporary Password: Enter the 'Temporary Password' interface in the app. Input a name for the password, set its effective and expiry times, then click 'Randomly generate'. Input this temporary password on the smart lock to open the door.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish or electronic components.
- Battery Replacement: When the battery low indicator appears, replace all batteries with new AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity.
- Factory Reset: If you encounter persistent issues or wish to clear all user data, long-press the factory reset button (usually located in the battery compartment) for 5 seconds. This will restore the lock to its original factory settings.
7. Troubleshooting
- Lock Not Responding: Check battery levels. If batteries are low or dead, replace them. If the issue persists, try performing a factory reset.
- App Connection Issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz. Verify the Wi-Fi password is correct. Make sure the smart lock is in pairing mode during the setup process.
- Handle Direction Incorrect: If the handle direction is wrong after installation, follow the 'Handle Direction Adjustment' steps in the installation guide to correct it.
- Lock Mechanism Sticking: Ensure all screws are tightened appropriately, but not overtightened. Check for any obstructions in the door frame or mortise pocket.
