6. Installation
6.1 Mounting
The TM628SH timer supports two installation methods:
- Panel Mount: For integration into control cabinets. Use the provided panel mount bracket and screws.
- DIN Rail Mount: For quick and secure attachment to standard EN 60715 DIN rails using the snap-lock mechanism.
6.2 Wiring Diagram
Connect the timer according to the following diagram. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated. For a detailed wiring diagram, please refer to the User manual (PDF).

Load Two Types:
- a: 250Vac/10Amp Rating
- b: 250Vac/30Amp Rating (Note: The TM628SH model supports 10A/2000W, corresponding to type 'a'.)
Input:
- Terminals 1 (NEUT) and 2 (LINE) for 85-265Vac, 50/60Hz.
Output:
- Terminals 4 (NEUT LOAD) and 5 (OUTPUT) for 10Amp 250Vac, 50/60Hz or 10Amp 30Vdc.
- Terminal 3 is for SINGLE POLE, SINGLE THROW applications.
7. Operating Instructions
7.1 Initial Setup and Time Setting
- Unlock Screen: Press the "PROG" button for 3 seconds to unlock the screen and enable operation buttons. The display will show "LOCK AUTO" or "ON AUTO".
- Set Present Time: Press the "TIME" button. Use the "UP.ADJ" and "DOWN.ADJ" buttons to adjust the current minute, hour, and day (week). Press "TIME" again to confirm each setting.
7.2 Programming ON/OFF Times
The timer supports up to 16 ON/OFF actions per day and 15 program groups for flexible scheduling over a 7-day cycle.
- Enter Programming Mode: Press the "PROG" button. The display will show "1 ON".
- Set First ON Time: Use "UP.ADJ" and "DOWN.ADJ" to set the desired hour, minute, and second for the first ON event. Press "TIME" to cycle through hour/minute/second/day settings.
- Set Days for ON Event: While setting the time, you can select specific days or combinations of days (e.g., Mo-Su, Mo-Fr, Sa-Su, etc. - 15 combinations available).
- Set First OFF Time: Press "PROG" again. The display will show "1 OFF". Set the desired hour, minute, and second for the first OFF event using "UP.ADJ" and "DOWN.ADJ" and "TIME" button.
- Repeat for Additional Programs: Repeat steps 2-4 for up to 16 ON/OFF programs. Press "PROG" to advance to the next program number (e.g., "2 ON", "2 OFF", etc.).
- Exit Programming Mode: After setting all desired programs, press the "TIME" button to return to the current time display.

7.3 Changing Working Status (ON/ON AUTO/OFF/AUTO OFF)
The timer has four working statuses: ON, ON AUTO, OFF, and AUTO OFF. To change the status:
- Ensure the screen is unlocked (press PROG for 3 seconds if locked).
- In the clock status (current time displayed), press the "PROG" and "UP.ADJ" buttons simultaneously.
- Each press will cycle through the working statuses: ON → ON AUTO → OFF → AUTO OFF.
- The timer will only operate automatically when in "ON AUTO" or "AUTO OFF" status.
7.4 Shutting Off/Waking Up LCD
To conserve power or for specific applications, you can shut off the LCD display:
- Shut Off LCD: Press the "Rst" button for 3 seconds. The LCD will turn off.
- Wake Up LCD: Press the "Rst" button again for 3 seconds. The LCD will turn back on.
8. Maintenance
8.1 Battery Replacement
The TM628SH uses a CR2032 lithium battery to maintain programmed settings during power outages. If the display becomes dim or programs are lost frequently, the battery may need replacement.
- Disconnect Power: Ensure the timer is disconnected from the main power supply.
- Locate Battery Compartment: The battery compartment is located on the back of the unit (refer to Figure 2).
- Replace Battery: Carefully slide out the battery tray, remove the old CR2032 battery, and insert a new one with the correct polarity.
- Reassemble: Slide the battery tray back into place.
- Reset Time: After battery replacement, you may need to reset the current time as described in Section 7.1.
