3. Setup and First Use
3.1 Charging the Device
The Health Guarder 222BT monitor includes a rechargeable lithium battery. Before first use, or when the battery indicator is low, charge the device using the provided Type-C charging cable. Connect the cable to the Type-C Charging Port on the side of the monitor and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included).
- A full charge typically takes a few hours.
- The battery indicator on the display will show charging status.
3.2 Powering On/Off
- To power on the device, slide the Power ON/OFF Switch to the 'ON' position.
- Press the ON/OFF Button (power symbol) to activate the display.
- To power off, slide the Power ON/OFF Switch to the 'OFF' position. The device will also automatically power off approximately 1 minute after measurement if left idle.
3.3 Setting Date and Time (Initial Setup)

3.4 Cuff Placement
Correct cuff placement is crucial for accurate readings. The wrist cuff is designed for wrists measuring 13.5cm to 19.5cm (5 3/8 - 7 2/3 inches).
- Ensure your wrist is bare.
- Wrap the cuff around your left wrist, approximately 1-2 cm above your wrist joint.
- The monitor's display should be on the inside of your wrist, facing upwards.
- Tighten the cuff snugly but not too tightly. There should be enough space to insert one finger between the cuff and your wrist.
- Rest your arm on a table so the monitor is at heart level.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Taking a Measurement
- Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Avoid talking or moving during the measurement.
- Place the cuff on your wrist as described in Section 3.4.
- Ensure the monitor is at heart level.
- Press the ON/OFF Button to start the measurement. The cuff will inflate, and then slowly deflate.
- Your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed on the screen.
- The device will automatically store the reading in the active user's memory.

4.2 Dual-User Mode
The monitor supports two user profiles, allowing two individuals to track their readings separately. Use the Set Button to switch between User 1 and User 2 before taking a measurement. The active user will be indicated on the display (Figure 3).
4.3 Voice Broadcast
The device features an optional voice broadcast function that announces measurement steps and results. The voice indicator on the display shows if this feature is active. Refer to the full manual for instructions on enabling or disabling voice broadcast.
4.4 Bluetooth Connectivity and App Integration
The Health Guarder 222BT monitor can connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth for enhanced data tracking and analysis.
- Download the "Aleshow" app from your smartphone's app store.
- Create an account within the app.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the monitor is powered on.
- The app should automatically detect and connect to your Health Guarder device. Look for the "SP" icon on the device display, indicating a successful Bluetooth connection.
- Once connected, measurements taken on the device will automatically sync to the app. You can also initiate measurements directly from the app.

4.5 Data Logging and Export
The device stores up to 99 measurements for each of the two users (99x2). You can review these readings using the Memory Button.
Through the "Aleshow" app, you can view historical data, track trends over time, and export your blood pressure records (Systolic, Diastolic, Pulse) in a convenient format. This feature is particularly useful for sharing your health data with your doctor during medical consultations.
4.6 Irregular Heartbeat Detection (IHB)
The monitor is equipped with Irregular Heartbeat Detection. If an irregular heartbeat is detected during measurement, a specific icon will appear on the display. If this icon appears frequently, consult your doctor.
4.7 3-Reading Average
For improved accuracy, the device can automatically calculate the average of your last three measurements. This feature helps to smooth out fluctuations and provide a more reliable indication of your blood pressure.
5. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the device and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
- Storage: Store the monitor in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity. The recommended storage conditions are -20℃ to +55℃ and 10% to 93% RH.
- Battery: Recharge the battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain its lifespan.
- Avoid Strong Shocks: Protect the device from strong impacts or drops.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power/Display Off:
- Check if the Power ON/OFF Switch is in the 'ON' position.
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the Type-C charging cable.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure correct cuff placement (Section 3.4) and that the monitor is at heart level.
- Remain still and silent during measurement.
- Avoid measuring after exercise, eating, or drinking caffeine/alcohol.
