4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

To maintain optimal performance and appearance:

  • Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keycaps and casing.
  • For dust and debris between keycaps, use compressed air.
  • Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the keyboard.

4.2 Keycap and Switch Care

The Mide 68 features durable PBT keycaps, known for their resistance to shine and wear. The switches are hot-swappable, allowing for easy replacement or customization without soldering. When removing keycaps or switches, use appropriate tools to avoid damage.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Keyboard Not Responding

  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and your computer.
  • Try plugging the keyboard into a different USB port.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Check the web driver for any error messages or connection status.

5.2 Keys Triggering Accidentally (False Triggers)

Due to the high sensitivity of magnetic switches, minor environmental factors (e.g., hand movements, airflow, table vibrations) can sometimes cause unintended key presses.

  • Solution: It is recommended to manually set the dead zone for the switches to approximately 0.1mm using the web driver. This will increase the required travel distance before a key registers, reducing false triggers.

5.3 RGB Lighting Issues

  • Verify that the RGB settings are correctly configured in the web driver.
  • Ensure no conflicting software is interfering with the keyboard's lighting controls.
  • Try resetting the keyboard's lighting profiles via the web driver.
