5. Setup and Installation

The KEMIMOTO Top Box is designed for universal fitment on most motorcycles, large scooters, and mopeds. Installation requires an allen key and an open-jawed spanner (not included).

5.1 Attaching the Base Plate

The bracket base plate must be securely attached to your motorcycle's rack. Use the provided mounting elements. Ensure the base plate is stable and level before proceeding.

5.2 Mounting the Top Box

  1. Attach the positioning buckle on the top box to the corresponding slot on the base plate.
  2. Lock and fix the top box onto the base plate using the quick-release mechanism. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  3. Verify the top box is firmly attached by gently pulling upwards and checking for any movement.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Opening and Closing the Top Box

The top box features a 90° self-lock hinge for stability when open.

  1. To open: Unlock the handle and lift the lid. The triangular support will provide stability at a 90-degree angle.
  2. To close: Press the handle to disengage the self-lock, then gently lower the lid until it latches.
  3. Ensure the box is locked with the key to protect contents from theft and to secure it during travel.

6.2 Using the Convenient Top Platform

The top platform is designed for small items, such as cups up to 7.5 cm (2.95 inches) in diameter. Ensure items are securely placed or strapped down before riding.

7. Maintenance
