3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Monitor Installation

  1. Place the TPMS host monitor on your vehicle's dashboard in a location that does not obstruct your view or interfere with driving.
  2. Ensure the solar panel on top of the monitor is exposed to sunlight for optimal charging.
  3. The monitor will automatically power on when it detects vehicle movement due to its intelligent shock boot feature.

3.2 External Sensor Installation

The external sensors are designed for quick and easy installation on your tire valves.

  1. Identify the correct sensor for each tire (FR, FL, RR, RL).
  2. Unscrew the original valve cap from the tire valve.
  3. Screw on one of the provided nuts onto the valve stem.
  4. Screw the corresponding external sensor onto the tire valve until it is hand-tight.
  5. Use the provided wrench to tighten the nut against the sensor to secure it and prevent theft.
  6. Repeat for all four tires.

3.3 Initial Power-On and Pairing

The sensors are pre-paired with the monitor. Once installed and the monitor is powered on, the system should automatically display tire data. If data is not displayed, drive the vehicle for a short distance to activate the sensors.

  • The system supports tire position swap functionality without needing to remove the sensors. Refer to the operating section for details.
  • Tires are matched by gas matching, ensuring accurate data for each position.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Display Overview

The colorful LCD digital screen displays real-time information for all four tires simultaneously.

  • Tire Pressure: Displayed in Psi (or other configurable units). Accurate to 0.01 Psi.
  • Tire Temperature: Displayed in °F (or other configurable units).
  • Solar Charging Indicator: Shows when the unit is charging via solar power.
  • Power Level: Indicates the monitor's battery status.
  • Dynamic UI Track: Visual representation of tire status.

4.2 Alarm Functions

The system provides immediate visual and audible alarms for critical tire conditions:

  • Low Air Pressure Alarm: Activates when tire pressure drops below the preset threshold.
  • High Temperature Alarm: Activates when tire temperature exceeds the preset threshold.
  • Leakage Alarm: Detects rapid air loss.
  • Low Battery Alarm: Alerts when a sensor's battery is low.

These alarms ensure real-time detection of tire issues, contributing to traffic safety.

4.3 Setting Alarm Values

The monitor allows you to set custom standard values for tire pressure and temperature alarms. Refer to the specific button functions on your device (Power On/Select, Choice buttons) to navigate the menu and adjust these settings. Consult the included manual for detailed menu navigation instructions.

4.4 Tire Position Swap Function

The system supports swapping tire positions without physically moving the sensors. This is useful after tire rotation. Use the monitor's menu options to reassign sensor data to the correct tire positions. This feature eliminates the need to remove and reinstall sensors.

4.5 Charging Methods

The T21 TPMS monitor offers flexible charging options:

  • Solar Charging: The integrated solar panel charges the monitor's battery when exposed to sunlight. This is the primary charging method during daylight hours.
  • Type-C Charging: For situations with insufficient sunlight or for faster charging, connect the monitor to a 5V USB power source using the provided Type-C data cable.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the monitor and sensors with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the device. Ensure the solar panel is kept clean for efficient charging.

5.2 Battery Life

The receiver/sensor adopts a vehicle-grade heat-resistant battery for a super long lifespan. The monitor's internal battery is designed for durability and is continuously charged via solar power or Type-C. If the monitor's battery level is consistently low, ensure it receives adequate sunlight or charge it via the Type-C port.

5.3 Sensor Replacement

In case of sensor damage or malfunction, individual replacement sensors may be available. Contact customer support for assistance. Ensure replacement sensors are compatible with your T21 TPMS system.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Display/Monitor Not Powering On:
    • Ensure the monitor is placed where it can receive sunlight for solar charging.
    • Connect the monitor to a 5V power source using the Type-C cable to charge it.
    • The monitor powers on automatically with vehicle movement; ensure the vehicle is moving or has recently moved.
  • Sensor Not Reading/Displaying Data:
    • Verify that the sensor is correctly installed and tightened on the tire valve.
    • Drive the vehicle for a few minutes to activate the sensors and allow them to transmit data.
    • Check for any physical damage to the sensor.
    • Ensure the sensor battery is not low (monitor will alarm if it is).
  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Confirm that the sensors are installed on the correct tire positions (FR, FL, RR, RL).
    • Check tire pressure with a reliable manual gauge to compare readings.
    • Ensure the sensors are clean and free from debris.
  • Alarms Constantly Triggering:
    • Check actual tire pressure and temperature. If they are outside safe limits, address the tire issue immediately.
    • Review and adjust the alarm thresholds in the monitor's settings if they are set too sensitively.
