6. Setup

The ANENG BT173 Battery Tester requires no setup or external power. It is powered by the battery being tested.

  1. Identify the type of battery you wish to test.
  2. Locate the corresponding positive and negative contact points on the BT173 tester for your battery type (refer to Section 5: Product Overview).

7. Operating Instructions

To test a battery, simply insert it into the appropriate slot on the tester. The results will be displayed instantly on the LCD screen.

7.1 Testing 1.5V - 4.8V Batteries (AAA, AA, C, D, Lithium 10440, 14500, 16340, 18650, 21700, 26650, Button Cells)

For these battery types, align the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the battery with the corresponding contact points on the tester. The tester has dedicated slots for different sizes.

7.2 Testing 9V and 12V/23A Batteries

For 9V batteries, use the dedicated detection area at the bottom of the tester. For 12V/23A batteries, use the specific slot also located at the bottom.

7.3 Reading the Display

The LCD screen provides two indicators:

  • Battery Bar Display: A graphical representation of the battery's charge level.
  • Battery Value Display: A precise numerical voltage reading.

The tester will automatically turn off once the battery is removed, conserving power.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the tester with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Handling: While the device is made of anti-drop ABS material, avoid unnecessary drops or impacts to ensure longevity.
