The Aqara Smart Camera E1 is an intelligent home security camera designed to provide comprehensive surveillance and smart home integration. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, offering a 2K (2304×1296p) resolution with pan & tilt capabilities. Key features include video intercom, human tracking, various storage options, and privacy zone masking. Its versatile functionalities can be utilized for home guard and smart control automation applications. The camera is also compatible with Apple HomeKit Secure Video.

3. Product Overview

Button Description:
- Hold down the Set button for 5 seconds to reset the camera's network.
- Quickly press the Set button 10 times to restore the camera to its factory settings.
- Press the Set button once to turn off the alarm when the camera is sounding an alert.
4. Setup
4.1. Preparation Before Use
- A smartphone or tablet that supports Wi-Fi or a cellular network (with iOS or Android system) is required.
- Please ensure that there is a Wi-Fi connection and your internet connection is stable.
4.2. Quick Setup
- Download the Aqara Home App
Search for "Aqara Home" in the Apple App Store, Google Play, Xiaomi GetApps, Huawei App Gallery, or scan the following QR code to download the Aqara Home app:

- Select the Installation Location for the Camera
Ensure a stable connection between the camera and the router by avoiding any interference. Metal obstacles between the camera and the router, or near the camera, should be avoided.
- Connect the Power
Locate the power interface at the back of the product. Plug in the USB-C Cable to connect the power adapter. When the Camera E1 is powered on, the status indicator will turn red and flash quickly. Ensure that the Bluetooth function on your mobile phone is activated.
- Select the Installation Location for the Camera
- Add the product to the Aqara Home App
Please open the Aqara Home app, tap "Home" and then tap "+" in the top right corner to enter the “Add Device (Accessory)" page, select "Camera E1", and add it according to instructions in the Aqara Home app. After a successful connection, the status indicator of the device will turn blue and keep the light constant.
- Connect to Apple HomeKit
Open the Apple Home app, click "+" on the upper right corner, and then enter the "Add Accessory" page. Scan or manually enter the HomeKit Setup Code at the bottom of the camera to bind the camera to HomeKit.
Troubleshooting Adding the Camera to HomeKit:
- "Failed to add accessory": Due to multiple adding failures, the error information of the iOS cache cannot be removed. Please restart the iOS device and reset the camera.
- "Accessory already added": After restarting the iOS device and resetting the camera, you can manually enter the HomeKit setup code and add it again.
- "Accessory not found": Please wait for 3 minutes after resetting the camera. You can manually enter the HomeKit setup code and add it again.
- If the device addition fails, please confirm the following points:
- The Wi-Fi name or password contains an unsupported special character, such as, @, #, %, -, $, etc., resulting in a failure to connect to the router. Please change it to a commonly used character and try again.
- If the camera cannot recognize the QR code generated by the mobile phone. Please make sure that the screen size of the mobile phone is not less than 4.7 inches, and make sure that you don't use the backlight of the camera to shoot the QR code.
- Check whether the router has enabled the Wi-Fi anti-squatter setting, which causes the camera to be unable to connect to the Internet.
- Check whether the router has enabled AP isolation, which leads to the failure to search the camera on the mobile phone in the LAN.

The Camera E1 provides crystal clear 2K resolution (3MP) for exceptional clarity and imagery, making every detail in your home vividly visible. Its dual-motor gimbal design allows the lens to rotate flexibly up, down, left, and right, ensuring complete 360° panoramic monitoring of your space with no blind spots.

5.2. AI Features
- AI Human Detection and Motion Tracking: Get alerts only when a human form is detected, smartly ignoring false triggers like flying insects or swaying curtains. Once tracking is enabled, the camera automatically follows the subject, keeping them centered in the frame.
- Time-Lapse Photography: Condenses hours of home footage into a short video, effortlessly documenting life's precious moments.
- Enhanced IR Night Vision: Equipped with six 940nm infrared LEDs and an automatic ICR cut-filter for seamless day/night mode switching. Delivers superior night vision, capturing crisp, detailed footage even in pitch darkness.

5.3. Two-Way Audio
The camera supports voice communication and two-way audio, allowing you to remotely communicate with family members via the app. You can check in on your kids, talk to your pets, or interact with visitors as if you're right there with them.
5.4. Privacy Protection
Privacy is a core design priority. Your recordings are protected by end-to-end encryption. You can also set custom privacy zones to better guard what matters to you. When you are home, the Camera E1 can be automatically muted and turn 180° to protect your privacy.

5.5. Smart Automations
The camera integrates with other smart home devices to protect your home 24/7. For example, if a window is opened (detected by an Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2), the camera can automatically turn to face the door.
5.6. Wide Compatibility
The Aqara Smart Camera E1 offers universal compatibility, working with Apple Home (with HomeKit Secure Video), Amazon Alexa, and Google Home for whole-home integration. You can control the camera using voice commands like "Hey Siri, turn to the door," "Hey Google, turn to the door," or "Alexa, turn to the door."
6. Installation
Please make sure the camera is added successfully before proceeding with installation.
- You can place the camera on a horizontal surface, such as a desk, table, or bookcase.
- The package includes screw accessories for fixing the camera to a wall or ceiling surface.
- A base accessory is provided for wall mounting with a 1/4" screw size. To install, remove the 3M tape from the base accessory, then fix it to the bottom of the camera according to the structural holes. Apply pressure to ensure the 3M adhesive sticks firmly. The camera can then be installed on a wall mount using the base accessory. Note that the wall mount is not included and must be purchased separately.
