4. Setup
4.1. Door Compatibility Check
Before installation, ensure your door is compatible with the lock. You will need to measure the following:
- Door thickness (must be between 40-100mm).
- Length of the guide plate.
- Width of the guide plate.

Also, determine if your door has security hooks, as this will affect the mortise lock body selection.

4.2. Mortise Options
The lock supports 6068 mortise and 6068 with hook mortise. Ensure you select the correct mortise for your door type. The handle direction is reversible.

4.3. Initial Configuration: Add Administrator Information
To set up the lock and add users, you must first add administrator information:
- Press "*" and "#" on the keypad.
- Input the default administrator information (123456).
- Press "1" to add admin information.
- Confirm the administrator number (Press "#" to confirm).
- Press "1" to add Fingerprint, Code, or Card.
- Press "2" to add Face recognition data.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Unlocking Methods
The Catchface V6 smart lock offers several ways to unlock your door:
- Face Unlock: Stand in front of the lock's facial recognition zone. The lock will automatically sense and unlock in approximately 0.5 seconds.
- Fingerprint Unlock: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint reader.
- Password Unlock: Enter your registered password on the touch keypad. You can use the anti-peeping virtual password feature by entering random digits before or after your actual password.
- Card Unlock: Present your registered M1 card to the card reader.
- Mechanical Key Unlock: Insert the mechanical key into the hidden cylinder hole and turn to unlock.
- App Unlock: Use the Tuya WiFi app on your smartphone to remotely unlock the door.

5.2. Tuya WiFi App Functions
The Tuya WiFi app provides comprehensive control and monitoring capabilities for your smart lock:
- Remote APP Unlock: When someone rings the doorbell, the app will receive a request, allowing you to remotely open the door.
- View Records: Check unlocking records and doorbell call logs directly from the app.

- Send Temporary Password: Generate and send time-limited passwords to guests or service providers.

5.2.1. Automatic Photo Capture Modes
The lock's camera can be configured with three automatic capture modes:
- Power Saving Mode: Snapping is triggered by local lock alerts.
- Standard Mode: Snapping is triggered for remote unlocking requests from the lock and alerts of unlocking failures.
- Security Mode: Snapping is triggered by all local lock events, such as normal unlocking, doorbell ringing, and failed unlocking.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Management
The lock is powered by a 4300mAh rechargeable lithium battery, offering super long standby time. To ensure continuous operation:
- Monitor battery levels via the Tuya app.
- Recharge the battery when prompted.
- In case of complete battery depletion, use a portable power bank connected to the USB charging port for emergency power.

6.2. Cleaning
Wipe the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

- Lock not responding: Check battery level. If low, use emergency USB power.
- Facial recognition failure: Ensure the facial recognition zone is clean and unobstructed. Try re-registering your face if issues persist.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try different angles or re-register your fingerprint.
- Password not working: Double-check the entered password. Ensure the anti-peeping feature is not causing confusion.
