5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your mailbox, regularly wipe it down with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.

5.2 Rust Prevention

The mailbox is made of galvanized steel with an anti-corrosion coating. While designed to resist rust, inspecting it periodically for any signs of wear or damage to the coating can help prolong its lifespan. Address any scratches or chips promptly to prevent rust formation.

5.3 Lock Maintenance

Keep the combination lock and keyhole free from dirt and debris. If the lock mechanism feels stiff, a small amount of graphite lubricant can be applied to ensure smooth operation.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Mail Getting Wet

The mailbox is equipped with a rain cover to protect contents from moisture. If mail is getting wet, check that the top cover is properly closed and that there are no obstructions preventing it from sealing correctly. The design includes a flume for water drainage, ensuring water does not accumulate inside.

6.2 Forgetting the Combination Password

If you forget your combination password, you can use the WeHere app's password history feature to retrieve it. Refer to the operating instructions section for more details.

6.3 Lock Mechanism Sticking

If the combination dial or key mechanism becomes difficult to operate, try cleaning it with a soft brush to remove any dust or debris. A small amount of lock lubricant (e.g., graphite powder) can also be applied.
