4. Setup and Initial Configuration
To ensure accurate timekeeping and full functionality, follow these steps to set up your watch:
4.1 Setting Time and Date
- In normal time display mode, press the MODE button repeatedly until the time setting mode is activated (usually indicated by flashing digits).
- Press the START/STOP button to select the digit you wish to adjust (e.g., seconds, minutes, hours, month, date, day of week).
- Use the RESET button to increase the selected digit. Hold the button to advance rapidly.
- Continue pressing START/STOP and RESET until all desired time and date parameters are set.
- Press the MODE button to exit the setting mode and return to normal time display.
4.2 12/24 Hour Format
In normal time display mode, press the RESET button to toggle between 12-hour (with 'P' for PM) and 24-hour formats.
5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Chronograph (Stopwatch)
- From normal time display, press MODE once to enter Chronograph mode. The display will show "00:00:00".
- Press START/STOP to begin timing.
- Press START/STOP again to pause timing.
- Press RESET to clear the stopwatch to "00:00:00".
- To resume timing after pausing, press START/STOP.
- Press MODE to exit Chronograph mode.
5.2 Alarm Setting
- From normal time display, press MODE twice to enter Alarm mode.
- Press START/STOP to select the hour or minute digits.
- Use the RESET button to adjust the selected hour or minute.
- Press MODE to exit Alarm setting mode.
- To turn the alarm ON/OFF, in Alarm mode, press the RESET button. An alarm icon will appear/disappear.
5.3 Dual Time
- From normal time display, press MODE three times to enter Dual Time mode.
- Press START/STOP to select the hour or minute digits.
- Use the RESET button to adjust the selected hour or minute for the second time zone.
- Press MODE to exit Dual Time setting mode.
5.4 Countdown Timer
- From normal time display, press MODE four times to enter Countdown Timer mode.
- Press START/STOP to select the hour or minute digits for setting the countdown.
- Use the RESET button to adjust the selected hour or minute.
- Once the countdown time is set, press START/STOP to begin the countdown.
- Press START/STOP again to pause/resume the countdown.
- Press RESET to reset the countdown timer to its initial set value.
- Press MODE to exit Countdown Timer mode.
5.5 EL Backlight
Press the LIGHT button at any time to illuminate the display for a few seconds, making it visible in low-light conditions.

6. Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your SKMEI watch.
6.1 Water Resistance

- The watch is rated for 30 meters (3 ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, such as hand washing, splashes, and brief immersion in water.
- It can be worn for swimming in shallow water.
- DO NOT press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water, as this can compromise the water seal.
- Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can damage the seals.
6.2 Cleaning
- Wipe the watch case and band regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
- For stainless steel bands, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by thorough drying.
- Avoid using chemical cleaners, as they may damage the watch's finish or materials.
6.3 Battery Replacement
The watch uses a standard watch battery (CR2016, as seen on the back cover image). When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance seal is properly maintained.
