3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Safety Precautions
WARNING: Please install and maintain the device by a professional electrician. To avoid electric shock hazards, do not operate any connection or contact the terminal connector while the device is powered on!
Caution: For single-phase use only (100-240V~). Connecting to multiple phases may result in damage to the device.
To ensure the safety of your electrical installation, it's essential that either a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) or a Residual Current operated Circuit-breaker with Integral Overcurrent protection (RCBO) with an electrical rating of 1A has been installed before the MINI-ZBRBS.
3.2 Wiring Instructions
Ensure all wires are connected correctly before powering on. Refer to the diagrams below for proper wiring.

Motor Requirements:
The device supports general 4-wire AC motors and 5-wire AC motors (with zero wire, motor forward line, motor reverse line, and ground line).
3.3 Power On and Pairing
- After wiring, power on the device. The LED signal indicator will "flash slowly", indicating it's in pairing mode.
- If not paired within 3 minutes, the device will exit pairing mode. To re-enter, long press the button on the device for 5 seconds until the signal light "flashes slowly" and release.

3.4 Add Device to eWeLink App
- Download the "eWeLink" App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Open the eWeLink App and tap "Add Device".
- Select your Zigbee gateway (e.g., ZBBridge-P).
- Scan the QR code on the device or manually add it.
- Wait for the device to be added successfully.

3.5 Travel Calibration
Percentage control requires travel calibration. Choose one of the following methods:
Method 1: Using eWeLink App
- In the eWeLink App, a "Travel Calibration" pop-up window may appear. Alternatively, go to "Initial Settings" on the device settings page.
- Perform "Automatic Calibration" or "Manual Calibration" by following the in-app instructions.
- For automatic calibration, click "Start Now" and wait for completion.
- For manual calibration, click "Manual", then "Next" to mark the "fully open" position, and "Done" to mark the "fully close" position.

Method 2: Using Device Button
- Press and hold the device button for more than 10 seconds until the LED indicator enters breathing mode.
- Briefly press the device button to enter "Manual Calibration" mode.
- Manually open the curtains completely, then briefly press the device button until the LED indicator flashes three times.
- Wait for the device to automatically close the curtains, then briefly press the device button again until the LED indicator flashes three times. This completes the "Manual Calibration".
*If there is any deviation in the calibration result, the calibration can be repeated until the desired accuracy is achieved.
*As the maximum one-way allowable continuous operation time for the motor in this device is 2 minutes, please pause the operation before the curtain reaches its limit position to avoid damaging the motor.
3.6 Install in Mounting Box
The MINI-ZBRBS is designed for complete installation into a flush-mounted box and enclosed with a cover plate or switch that fulfills national standard requirements. Ensure no part of the product is exposed after installation.

4. Operation
4.1 External Switch Control
The MINI-ZBRBS supports various external switch types, with the default factory setting being a rocker switch (Edge Mode).
- Rocker Switch: Toggle the "UP" and "DOWN" keys alternately more than 3 times within 6 seconds to control the curtain.
- Momentary Switch: Press the "UP" key more than 6 times within 6 seconds to control the curtain.
To switch the external switch type: Short-press the button on the device three times. The blue light will flash 3 times, indicating the switch type has been successfully switched. The sequence is: Edge Mode → Pulse Mode → Following Mode.

4.2 App Remote Control
Once paired with the eWeLink app via a Zigbee hub, you can control your roller shutters remotely from your smartphone or tablet. This includes opening, closing, pausing, and setting specific percentage levels.

4.3 Smart Scene Automation
Create automated scenes within the eWeLink app. For example, you can set your blinds to close automatically at 6:00 PM or open at sunrise. With Zigbee local scenes, these automations can execute even when your internet connection is offline, ensuring reliable operation.

4.4 Zigbee Signal Booster
The MINI-ZBRBS acts as a Zigbee router, extending the range and stability of your Zigbee mesh network. This is particularly useful in larger homes or areas with weak signal, ensuring all your Zigbee devices communicate effectively.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Factory Reset
To perform a factory reset, which will clear all settings and unpair the device, follow one of these methods:
- Press and hold the device button for 5 seconds.
- Delete the device from the eWeLink app.
5.2 Preventing Motor Damage
The maximum one-way continuous operation time for the motor connected to this device is 2 minutes. To avoid damaging the motor, always pause the operation before the curtain reaches its limit position if it's operating for an extended period.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 LED Indicator Status
The blue LED indicator provides important status information:
- Keeps on: Normal connection with the gateway.
- Slow flash: Device is in Pairing Mode.
- Fast flash: Abnormal connection with the gateway.
- Keeps off: Pairing failure/Timeout.
- Breathing mode (press and hold the button for 10 seconds): The device is in calibration.
- Flashes three times: The switch type is successfully switched.
6.2 Roller Shutter Direction Test
After wiring, press the external switch to check if the roller shutter moves in the correct direction. If it does not, power off the device, swap the Lout1 and Lout2 wires, and test again.
6.3 FCC Compliance Statement
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

- Leverage Local Scenes: For critical automations, utilize Zigbee local scenes. This guarantees your routines run even if your internet connection is temporarily unavailable.
- Consider Signal Boosting: If you have a large home or many Zigbee devices, strategically placing MINI-ZBRBS modules can significantly improve your network's stability and range.
- Manual Override: Remember that the module supports traditional wall switches, providing a convenient manual override option if needed.
