1. Product Overview

The SPORTARC M58 LCD Display is a versatile and durable instrument designed for BAFANG mid-motor electric bike systems. It provides comprehensive real-time riding data, advanced settings, and error detection capabilities to enhance your e-bike experience. This display is compatible with 24V, 36V, 48V, and 52V motors and features a 5-pin waterproof connection.

2. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your motor system uses the UART protocol and has a compatible 5-pin waterproof connector. The M58 display is designed for BAFANG BBS Central Motors and other BAFANG/brand hub motors with UART Protocol Controllers.

2.1 Compatibility Check

The M58 LCD Display is compatible with BAFANG UART Protocol 5-Pin Round Connectors. It is NOT compatible with CAN Protocol 5-Pin Triangular Connectors.

2.2 Wiring Diagram

The display connects via a 5-pin waterproof connector. Ensure the wiring matches the diagram provided. If the wiring diagram is different, the display will not function correctly.

2.3 Mounting

The display is designed for handlebar mounting. The mounting dimensions are compatible with φ22.2mm, 25.4mm, and 31.8mm handlebars. The ergonomic button layout helps save handlebar space.

The M58 LCD Display provides a clear interface for monitoring and controlling your e-bike's functions.

3.1 Power On/Off

Refer to your e-bike's main power switch or controller instructions to power on the system. The display will activate automatically.

3.2 Display Functions

The display shows the following information:

• Real-time Speed: Current riding speed.

• Gear Level: Current assist level.
• Assist Mode: Indication of pedal assist mode.

3.3 Gear Levels

The display supports 3, 5, or 9 adjustable speed settings (gear levels) depending on your e-bike's configuration. Use the control buttons to cycle through these levels to adjust pedal assist.

3.4 Screen Brightness

The screen brightness can be adjusted from levels 1 to 5 for optimal visibility in various lighting conditions.

3.5 Password Protection

The display includes built-in password protection to prevent accidental changes to important parameters. The advanced settings password is 1919.
