4. Setup

4.1 Connecting the Keyboard

The VXE75 V2 supports three connection modes: 2.4G Wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wired (Type-C). A physical switch located on the side of the keyboard allows you to select your preferred mode.

4.1.1 Wired Connection

  1. Locate the Type-C port on the keyboard.

4.1.2 2.4G Wireless Connection

  1. Take out the 2.4G USB receiver from the keyboard (usually stored in a dedicated slot).
  2. Plug the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Set the physical switch on the keyboard to the "2.4G" or "Wireless" position (often indicated by a Wi-Fi-like icon).
  4. The keyboard should connect automatically.

4.1.3 Bluetooth 5.0 Connection

  1. Set the physical switch on the keyboard to the "BT" or "Bluetooth" position (often indicated by a Bluetooth icon).
  2. On your computer or device, open Bluetooth settings.
  3. Search for new Bluetooth devices. The keyboard should appear as "VXE75 V2" or similar.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Functions

  • Typing: Use the standard QWERTY layout for typing.
  • Function Keys: The F1-F12 keys are accessible via the Fn key combination. Refer to the keyboard's legends for specific functions (e.g., media control, volume).
  • Operating System Mode: Use the physical switch to toggle between MAC and WIN modes for optimal compatibility with your operating system.

5.2 Backlight Control

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

  • Keycaps: The PBT keycaps are durable. Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap and water to clean them. For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to remove them and clean individually. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
  • Casing: Wipe the CNC aluminum casing with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Dust: Use the provided dust cover when the keyboard is not in use to prevent dust accumulation. A can of compressed air can be used to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.

6.2 Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Do not expose the keyboard to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
  • If storing the keyboard for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% to prolong its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Keyboard Not Responding

  • Wired Mode:
    • Ensure the Type-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
    • Try a different USB port on your computer.
    • Test with a different Type-C cable if available.
    • Verify the physical mode switch is set to "Wired".
  • 2.4G Wireless Mode:
    • Ensure the 2.4G receiver is securely plugged into a USB port.
    • Verify the physical mode switch is set to "2.4G".
    • Check battery level; charge if low.
    • Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port.
  • Bluetooth Mode:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
    • Verify the physical mode switch is set to "BT".
    • Check battery level; charge if low.
    • Try re-pairing the keyboard in your device's Bluetooth settings.
    • Ensure no other devices are interfering with the Bluetooth signal.

7.2 Backlight Issues

  • If the backlight is off, check if it has been turned off via a key combination or in the VGN HUB software.
  • Adjust brightness settings using the appropriate Fn key combinations.
  • Ensure the keyboard is sufficiently charged if in wireless mode.

7.3 Keys Not Registering / Double Typing

  • Clean around and under the affected keycap.
  • If the keyboard is hot-swappable (as indicated in specifications), try removing and re-inserting the switch. If the issue persists, replace the switch with one of the provided spares.
  • Ensure the VGN HUB software is up to date.

  • For the best gaming experience, use the 2.4G wireless mode with Smart Speed X technology for ultra-low latency.
