  • Battery Care: The built-in 7800mAh battery is designed for long life with solar charging. Ensure the solar panel receives adequate sunlight to maintain battery charge. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the uBox app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera Not Connecting to Network:
    • Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4 GHz. 5 GHz networks are not supported.
    • Verify the WiFi password is correct.
    • If using 4G, ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted, activated, and has sufficient data.
    • Move the camera closer to the WiFi router or ensure good 4G signal strength.
  • Poor Image Quality:
    • Clean the camera lenses.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions in the camera's field of view.
    • Check network stability; a weak connection can affect streaming quality.
  • Battery Not Charging:
    • Ensure the solar panel is clean and free from obstructions.
    • Verify the solar panel is positioned to receive maximum direct sunlight.
    • Check the connection cable between the solar panel and the camera.
  • Human Detection Not Working:
    • Ensure PIR Human Detection is enabled in the uBox app settings.
    • Adjust the sensitivity settings if necessary.
    • Ensure the detection area is clear and not obstructed.
  • Two-Way Audio Issues:
    • Check the microphone and speaker volume settings in the app.
    • Ensure there is no physical obstruction blocking the microphone or speaker on the camera.
    • Verify your phone's microphone and speaker are working correctly.

User Tips

  • Optimal Solar Charging: For best results, mount the solar panel in a location that receives at least 4-6 hours of direct, unobstructed sunlight daily. This ensures consistent power to your camera and extends battery life.
  • Network Stability: While the camera supports both 4G and WiFi, a stable network connection is crucial for smooth live viewing and timely notifications. Consider the signal strength at your chosen installation spot.
  • Storage Management: If using a TF card, regularly check its capacity and consider backing up important footage to cloud storage or another device to prevent data loss.
