Setup and Assembly

The SENSE7 VENO chair is designed for self-assembly. Please follow these general steps. Ensure all parts are present before beginning assembly. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage.

  1. Attach Wheels to Base: Insert the 60mm nylon-rubber wheels into the openings at the end of each arm of the five-arm nylon base. Push firmly until they click into place.
  2. Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the central hole of the assembled base.
  3. Attach Seat Mechanism: Secure the seat mechanism to the underside of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Ensure the front of the mechanism aligns with the front of the seat.
  4. Attach Armrests: Fasten the armrests to the seat mechanism and/or seat base using the designated screws. Ensure they are oriented correctly.
  5. Attach Backrest: Connect the backrest to the seat mechanism or seat base according to the design. Secure with screws.
  6. Attach Headrest: Slide the headrest into its designated slot at the top of the backrest. Ensure it is securely in place.
  7. Connect Seat to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the central hole of the seat mechanism aligns with the top of the gas lift.

After assembly, sit on the chair to properly seat the gas lift and test all adjustment functions.

Operating Instructions

The SENSE7 VENO chair offers several adjustment options to customize your seating experience for optimal comfort and ergonomics.

  • Seat Height Adjustment: To adjust the seat height (range 42-52 cm), locate the lever typically found under the right side of the seat. Lift the lever while seated to lower the seat, or lift the lever while standing to raise the seat. Release the lever at your desired height.
  • Armrest Adjustment: The armrests feature a top-down adjustment mechanism, allowing for a 7 cm range of vertical movement. To adjust, press the button or lever usually located on the side of the armrest support, then move the armrest up or down. Release the button/lever to lock it in place.

  • Headrest Adjustment: The headrest can be adjusted both vertically and for its angle of inclination. Gently pull or push the headrest to adjust its height. To adjust the angle, tilt the headrest forward or backward to find your preferred position.

  • Backrest Tilt: The chair features a two-part profiled back support. While specific tilt lock mechanisms are not detailed, most office chairs allow for a degree of recline. Check for a lever or knob under the seat that controls the backrest tilt and tension.

Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance will help keep your SENSE7 VENO chair in excellent condition and extend its lifespan.

  • Cleaning Upholstery (HDF™ Fabric): For general cleaning, use a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Blot spills immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Cleaning Mesh Backrest: The durable mesh backrest provides excellent air circulation. To clean, gently wipe with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, a soft brush can be used with a mild detergent solution, then wiped clean with a damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before use.

  • Cleaning Wheels: The nylon-rubber wheels are designed to protect your floor. Periodically clean any dust, hair, or debris from the wheels and their axles to ensure smooth movement. Use a damp cloth or a small brush.

  • Tighten Fasteners: Over time, screws and bolts may loosen. Periodically check and tighten all fasteners to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
  • Avoid Overloading: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 120 kg to prevent damage to the chair and potential injury.

Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:

  • Chair Squeaks:
    • Check and tighten all screws and bolts, especially where the backrest meets the seat and the mechanism attaches to the seat.
    • Apply a small amount of silicone spray to moving parts if tightening does not resolve the issue.
  • Gas Lift Not Adjusting:
    • Ensure the lever is fully engaged when attempting to adjust the height.
    • If the gas lift is completely unresponsive, it may need replacement. Contact support for assistance.
  • Chair Feels Unstable/Wobbly:
    • Verify that all components are correctly assembled and all fasteners are securely tightened.
    • Ensure the chair is on a flat, even surface.
  • Wheels Not Rolling Smoothly:
    • Check for debris (hair, lint) wrapped around the wheel axles and remove them.
    • Ensure the wheels are properly inserted into the base.

User Tips for Ergonomic Comfort

To maximize comfort and support, consider these ergonomic tips:

  • Adjust Seat Height: Position your feet flat on the floor with your knees at approximately a 90-degree angle. If your feet don't reach, use a footrest.
  • Utilize Backrest Support: Lean back into the two-part profiled backrest. Adjust your posture so your lower back is supported by the chair's lumbar curve.
  • Position Armrests: Adjust the armrests so your arms are gently supported, and your shoulders are relaxed. Your elbows should be at roughly a 90-degree angle when typing.
  • Headrest Placement: Adjust the headrest to comfortably support your head and neck, especially during periods of rest or when leaning back. It should align with the natural curve of your neck.
  • Take Breaks: Even with an ergonomic chair, it's important to take regular short breaks to stand, stretch, and move around.
