4. Assembly and Setup
Assembly is required for this stepper machine. Follow the detailed instructions provided in the assembly guide included in your package. Ensure all connections are secure before use.
4.1 Initial Placement
Place the stepper on a level, solid surface. The wide base with non-slip feet provides stability. Ensure there is enough clear space around the machine for safe operation.
4.2 Attaching the Bottle Holder
Secure the bottle holder to the designated spot on the main frame, typically near the handlebar, using the provided hardware.
4.3 LCD Monitor Installation
Connect the sensor cable from the stepper to the back of the LCD monitor. Insert the required batteries (not always included) into the monitor. Mount the monitor onto its bracket on the handlebar.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Getting Started
- Step onto the pedals one foot at a time, holding onto the handlebar for balance.
- Ensure your feet are centered and stable on the extra-wide, non-slip pedals.
- Begin a stepping motion, mimicking climbing stairs. Maintain a steady rhythm.

5.2 Adjusting Hydraulic Resistance
The stepper features two hydraulic levers, allowing for independent resistance adjustment on the left and right sides. There are 12 levels of resistance available.
- To adjust the resistance, locate the adjustment dials on each hydraulic cylinder.
- Rotate the dial to select your desired resistance level (1-12). A higher number indicates greater resistance.
- You can set different resistance levels for each leg to target specific muscle groups or for rehabilitation purposes.

5.3 Using the LCD Monitor
The integrated LCD monitor tracks your workout progress. It typically displays the following metrics:
- TIME: Duration of your current workout.
- FREQUENCY: Steps per minute.
- DISTANCE: Estimated distance covered.
- CALORIES: Estimated calories burned.
- HEART RATE: (If equipped with pulse sensors on handlebars, otherwise this feature may not be active or requires external sensor).
Press the 'MODE' button (if available) to cycle through the display functions or to reset the values. Refer to the monitor's specific instructions for detailed operation.

5.4 Moving the Stepper
The stepper is equipped with wheels for easy relocation. To move the machine, tilt it slightly and roll it to your desired position. Ensure it is stable before resuming use.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your stepper machine.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the machine with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and connections to ensure they are tight. Tighten any loose components.
- Hydraulic Cylinders: Allow cylinders to cool completely after use. Check for any leaks or unusual wear.
- Storage: When not in use, the stepper can be folded for compact storage. Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
7. Troubleshooting
- Squeaking Noise: Check all bolted connections and tighten if loose. A small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to pivot points if the noise persists.
- LCD Monitor Not Working: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Check the sensor cable connection.
- Uneven Resistance: Verify that both hydraulic cylinders are set to the same resistance level if you desire an even workout. If the issue persists, inspect cylinders for damage or leaks.
