Setup Guide
Battery Installation
Insert the provided Li-ion battery pack into the battery compartment on the back of the radio. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
Antenna Attachment
Screw the antenna clockwise onto the SMA-Male connector at the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.
Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the battery. You have multiple charging options:
- Desktop Charger: Place the radio into the desktop charger cradle. Ensure the charge contacts align. The indicator light will show charging status.
- Type-C USB Cable: Connect the Type-C USB cable to the port on the side of the radio and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank, laptop).

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn on the radio. Rotate counter-clockwise until a click is heard to turn off.

Display and Navigation
The AR-39 features a 2.0-inch TFT large screen. Use the numeric keypad and the MENU/A/B/BACK buttons to navigate through the display menus. The display supports 7 color font options, which can be customized in the settings.

- Press the MENU button to enter the "FQSCAN" interface.

- Once found, press MENU again to store the frequency. This enables quick communication between two radios without manual programming.
