5.3 System Requirements for 8KHz Polling Rate

To ensure the best experience with the ATK mouse's 8KHz polling rate, your computer configuration should meet the following minimum recommended requirements:

  • CPU: Intel i7 9700K or above, or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or above
  • Display: Refresh rate of 240Hz or above
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 1080 or above, or AMD RX 5700 or above
  • RAM: 16GB or above

6. Operation

6.1 Button Functions

The ATK DUCKBILL Ultra features 6 programmable buttons. By default, these buttons perform standard mouse functions (left click, right click, scroll click, forward, backward, DPI cycle). You can customize these functions using the ATK HUB 3.0 software.

6.2 DPI Adjustment

The mouse supports a wide DPI range from 10 to 30,000, adjustable in 10 DPI increments. You can cycle through preset DPI stages using the dedicated DPI button (usually located on the bottom or top of the mouse, or programmable via software). Fine-tune your DPI settings and create custom profiles using the ATK HUB 3.0 software.

6.3 RGB Lighting

The mouse features subtle yet customizable RGB lighting. Use the ATK HUB 3.0 software to select from various lighting effects, colors, and brightness levels to match your setup or mood.

6.4 Onboard Memory

The mouse has onboard memory, allowing you to save up to 5 different profiles. Each profile can store custom button assignments, DPI settings, and lighting configurations. This enables you to switch between profiles on the fly, even without the software running, making it ideal for different games or applications.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

The mouse features a fine ice-feel coating that is anti-slip and easy to clean. To maintain its appearance and hygiene:

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the coating and internal components.
  • Gently wipe the surface of the mouse. For crevices, use a dry cotton swab or compressed air.
  • Ensure the mouse is completely dry before use.

7.2 Battery Care

To maximize the lifespan and performance of your mouse's 500mAh battery:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the mouse using the provided USB-C cable.
  • If not using the mouse for an extended period, charge it to about 50% before storing.
  • The mouse supports quick charging, providing 12 hours of use from just 15 minutes of charging.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Mouse not responding:
    • Ensure the mouse is turned on and fully charged.
    • Check the connection: For wireless, ensure the dongle is properly inserted and the mouse is in the correct mode (2.4GHz or Bluetooth). For wired, ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected.
    • Try connecting to a different USB port.
    • Restart your computer.
  • Lag or stuttering in wireless mode:
    • Ensure the 2.4GHz dongle is placed close to the mouse and away from other wireless interference sources (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other wireless devices).
    • Check your computer's system specifications against the recommended requirements for 8KHz polling rate (see Section 5.3).
    • Update mouse firmware via ATK HUB 3.0 software.
  • DPI or button settings not saving:
    • Ensure you are saving your profiles correctly within the ATK HUB 3.0 software.
    • Verify that the profiles are being saved to the mouse's onboard memory.
  • RGB lighting not working:
    • Check lighting settings in the ATK HUB 3.0 software.
    • Ensure the mouse battery is not critically low, as some lighting features may be disabled to conserve power.
  • Quality Issues: If you encounter a product quality issue, please contact the seller for assistance. Quality issues are eligible for free replacement.

9. User Tips

  • Maximize Battery Life: For general use or office work, switch to Bluetooth mode to conserve battery. For critical gaming, always use the 2.4GHz dongle or wired connection.
  • Competitive Edge: The ultra-lightweight design and top-tier PAW3950 sensor provide a significant advantage in fast-paced, precision-dependent games like FPS and MOBA titles.
  • Customization is Key: Take advantage of the ATK HUB 3.0 software to create custom profiles for different games. Assign macros to programmable buttons for quick execution of complex commands.
  • Optimal Polling Rate: While 8KHz polling rate offers the smoothest tracking, ensure your system meets the recommended specifications to avoid performance bottlenecks. If your system struggles, consider lowering the polling rate to 4KHz or 1KHz.

10. Warranty and Support

Your ATK DUCKBILL Ultra Wireless Gaming Mouse comes with a standard manufacturer's warranty. For detailed warranty information, technical support, or service inquiries, please refer to the warranty card included in your package or visit the official ATK website.
