5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Remote Access via Mobile App
To view your surveillance system remotely on your smartphone:
- Download App: Download the "XMEye Pro" app from the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
- Register/Login: Open the app and register a new account or log in with an existing one.
- Add Device: Scan the QR code displayed on your NVR's monitor or manually enter the device ID to add your NVR to the app.
- Enjoy Live View: Once added, you can access live video feeds, playback recordings, and configure settings from your phone.

5.2 AI Human Detection and Alert Configuration
Your system features advanced AI human detection to minimize false alarms. You can configure these settings via the mobile app or NVR interface.

Steps to set AI Human Detection in the Phone App:
- Open the XMEye Pro app.
- Navigate to the "Alarm" settings for the desired camera channel.
- Enable "Humanoid Detection Switch" and "Face Detection Switch".
- Define an "Alert Area" by drawing a specific region on the camera's view.
- Configure "Alarm Linkage" options such as "Alarm Record", "Alarm Snapshot", "APP Push", and "Allow Notifications".
- Select an "Alarm Sound" from predefined options (e.g., Bell Alarm, Alert area, please leave!) or record a custom voice.
5.3 Smart AI Red Blue Flashing Light Alert
The 8MP cameras support a smart red and blue flashing light alert feature. This feature is enabled by default. When human motion is detected, the camera's red and blue lights will flash, and white lights will illuminate (default state) to act as a deterrent.
To configure the LED lights (Smart Alert / Smart Infrared):
There are two main options for the camera's LED lights when motion is detected:
- Smart Alert: When motion is detected, the camera's white LEDs will light up.
- Smart Infrared: When motion is detected, the camera's white LEDs will NOT light up (only IR will be active).
You can adjust these settings via the NVR interface or the web interface:

5.4 Smart Playback
The system offers smart playback with customizable search areas, significantly reducing the time needed to review footage by fast-forwarding through unimportant segments.

6. Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean camera lenses with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or your NVR's settings for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- HDD Management: The NVR supports up to 14TB HDD/SSD. Regularly check the HDD status and ensure sufficient storage space. H.265 compression helps maximize storage efficiency.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect all cables for wear and tear, especially outdoor cables, to prevent connection issues.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Video Display: Check power connections to the NVR and monitor. Ensure video cables (HD/VGA) are securely connected.
- Cameras Not Showing: Verify that Ethernet cables are securely connected to both the cameras and the NVR's POE ports. Restart the NVR.
- No Remote Access: Ensure the NVR is connected to your router and has internet access. Check network settings on the NVR and ensure the XMEye Pro app is correctly configured with the device.
- False Alarms: Adjust the AI Human Detection sensitivity and refine the "Alert Area" in the app settings to reduce unwanted notifications.
- Poor Night Vision: Ensure camera lenses are clean and free from obstructions. Check if the IR or white LEDs are functioning correctly.
- No Audio: Verify that the camera's microphone and speaker are enabled in the settings. Check external speaker connections if applicable.
