  • Network: Manage network settings and initiate pairing mode.
  • Advanced: Access advanced temperature control parameters.
  • About: View device information.

Advanced Temperature Settings:

  • Temperature Unit: Switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
  • Temperature Calibration: Adjust the displayed temperature to match an external reference, if needed. Range: -15~15°C (-15~15°F).
  • Temperature Difference (Hysteresis): Sets the temperature differential required for switching the device on and off. For example, if set to 1.0°C and the target is 20.0°C in heating mode, the device will heat when the room temperature drops to 19.0°C and stop at 20.0°C. In cooling mode, it will cool at 21.0°C and stop at 20.0°C. Range: 0.1~10°C (0.2~30°F).
  • Cooling Delay: Effective only in cooling mode. If the setpoint temperature is reached, the device will wait for a specified period before starting cooling to protect the compressor. This prevents rapid cycling of the cooling unit. Range: 1~10 minutes.
  • Frost Protection: Enable/Disable a feature to prevent temperatures from dropping below a certain threshold (e.g., 5°C) to protect pipes or plants.
  • High Temp. Alert: Set a maximum temperature threshold. If exceeded, an alarm will trigger. Range: -30~110°C (-22~230°F).
  • Low Temp. Alert: Set a minimum temperature threshold. If the temperature drops below this, an alarm will trigger. Range: -30~110°C (-22~230°F).
  • Factory Reset: Resets all settings to their default values.

  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, ensure it is unplugged and kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Sensor Care: Handle the temperature sensors carefully. Avoid bending or kinking the sensor cables excessively. Ensure the sensor tip is clean and free from debris for accurate readings.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AVATTO Tuya WiFi Thermostat Socket, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device not pairing with appIncorrect Wi-Fi band, Bluetooth off, device not in pairing mode, incorrect Wi-Fi password.Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz and Bluetooth is on. Put the thermostat into pairing mode as described in Section 4. Double-check your Wi-Fi password.
Inaccurate temperature readingsSensor placement, sensor damage, calibration needed.Ensure the sensor is placed correctly and not exposed to direct heat/cold sources. Check the sensor for visible damage. Use the temperature calibration feature in the settings menu to adjust.
Device offline in appWi-Fi signal loss, router issues, device unplugged.Check your Wi-Fi router and signal strength. Ensure the thermostat is plugged in and powered on. Re-pair the device if necessary.
Connected appliance not turning ON/OFFIncorrect mode, appliance not working, thermostat fault.Verify the thermostat is in the correct mode (Heating/Cooling/Socket). Check if the appliance itself is working. Ensure the thermostat is receiving power.
High/Low Temperature Alarm not workingAlarm thresholds not set, alarm disabled.Check the High/Low Temp. Alert settings in the Advanced Settings menu via the device or app. Ensure the alarm is enabled and thresholds are appropriate.

9. User Tips

  • Optimal Sensor Placement: For the most accurate temperature readings, place the external temperature sensor in the area where you want to maintain the temperature, away from direct drafts, sunlight, or heat sources.
  • Leverage Programming Mode: Utilize the weekly programming feature via the Smart Life/AVATTO app to set custom temperature schedules. This can significantly improve comfort and energy efficiency by automatically adjusting temperatures based on your daily routine.
  • Check Wi-Fi Band: During initial setup, always confirm your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal and your phone is connected to it. This is a common point of failure for smart device pairing.
  • Child Lock: If you have children, consider enabling the child lock feature to prevent accidental changes to the thermostat settings.
