5.2. Common Issues and Solutions

  • Display Not Working / Abnormal Use:

Cause: The product protocol is UART2. If your controller's protocol does not match, it may result in abnormal use.

Solution: Verify your controller's communication protocol. The display is only compatible with UART2 protocol controllers. You can check the controller's appearance, manual, or contact the controller's seller.

Video illustrating the importance of controller compatibility for the display.

  • Speed Limit Issues:

Cause: Speed limits can be imposed by either the controller or the display. By default, the display has no speed limit (P08 set to 100).

Solution: If your controller has a speed limit, the display will only show the corresponding speed, and the limit cannot be lifted via the display. If the speed limit is set on the display (P08), you can adjust it through the P-settings menu.

  • ODO (Total Mileage) Reset:

Solution: To clear the ODO, navigate to the P16 menu interface and long press the '+' button for 5 seconds.

  • Reset to Factory Defaults:

Solution: To reset all settings to factory defaults, navigate to the P16 menu interface and long press the '-' button for 2 seconds. Note: This operation will not clear the ODO.
