2. Setup Instructions

2.1 Essential Components for Inline Fan Setup

  • Inline Fan: Helps circulate air within the indoor grow space, maintaining consistent temperature and humidity levels and distributing CO2 evenly.
  • Carbon Filter: Pulls the smell of plants from the air, catching odors to neutralize them. It also traps pollen and spores, keeping the air clean.
  • Ducting Tube: Clamped or taped onto your inline duct fan, acting as a channel to route stagnant air away from your grow space.

2.2 Connection and Installation

  1. Connect the Inline Fan to the GGS Controller: The GGS controller connects directly to the inline fan via an RJ12 port. No external power supply is needed for the GGS controller as it is powered by the inline fan.
  2. Diagram showing simple and smart connection of the inline fan to the GGS controller via RJ12 cable, indicating power source and powered on status.

  5. Position the Carbon Filter: The carbon filter can be used as an exhaust filter (air blown into carbon filter) or an intake filter (air sucked through carbon filter). Ensure the arrow on the filter indicates the direction of airflow.
  6. Diagram illustrating bidirectional universal use of the carbon filter as an exhaust filter (air blown in) or intake filter (air sucked through).

Figure 5: Bidirectional universal carbon filter usage.

  7. Hang the System: Use the secure and stable hangers to mount the fan and filter system within your grow tent. The tool-free design allows for easy filter replacement.
  8. Image showing secure and stable hangers for the carbon filter, with a measurement of 60mm.

Figure 6: Secure and stable hangers for easy installation and maintenance.

  9. Connect Sensors and Adapters (Optional): The GGS controller supports additional connections for a Temp Humid Light Sensor and a Light & Fan Adapter. The Temp Humid Light Sensor obtains accurate measurements for temperature, humidity, and Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD). The 2-in-1 Light & Fan Adapter connects to 0-10V lights and PWM clip fans. Use the RJ12 cord to connect to the DEV1 or DEV2 port on the GGS Controller, then select 'Blower (inline fan)' in the interface.

  • Four Operating Modes: Select from various modes to suit your growing needs.
  • Set Start & Stop Times: Program the fan to operate during specific periods.
  • Set Running & Standby Speeds: Define fan speeds for active operation and standby.
  • CO2 Device On/Off Control: Manage external CO2 devices through the controller.

3.2 Airflow Adjustment

The app precisely adjusts the airflow from 0% to 100%, allowing for low noise operation at lower speeds and strong airflow when needed.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Carbon Filter Maintenance

The carbon filter is designed for highly effective odor removal. It consists of multiple layers:

  1. Pre-Filter
  2. Outer Mesh
  3. Charcoal Bed
  4. Inner Mesh

The durable and reusable hangers allow for tool-free filter replacement in seconds. Regularly check and replace the pre-filter and carbon bed as needed to maintain optimal performance.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Common Issues and Solutions

  • Fan not completely extinguishing when turned off: This is normal and typically due to minor voltage differences. It does not affect the fan's operation. If this is a concern, unplug the unit when not in use.
  • General performance issues: If you encounter any problems, please provide related videos or photos of the defective product and photos of all labels on the package to customer support for assistance.

7. User Tips

  • Optimal Wattage for Grow Lights: For medical plants, many growers find that 30-50 watts per square foot is an ideal figure to achieve a decent harvest. Focus on the real power draw of your LED grow light rather than just the stated LED power.
  • Multiple Lights for Larger Areas: When covering larger grow areas, using multiple smaller to medium-sized lights can provide better light distribution. This prevents light intensity from being concentrated in one area while outer edges receive insufficient light.
  • Combining with HPS Lights: You can use this inline fan system with HPS (High-Pressure Sodium) lights. A ratio of LED to HID/HPS of 2:1 or 1:1 can lead to better growing results and higher quality buds.

  • 1 year - 2 years: Free accessories are provided. The buyer is responsible for the maintenance fee and two shipping costs.

Note for Inline Fan: Operating conditions for warranty purposes are ambient temperature around 30℃ and relative humidity 15-65%.
