5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

The BF-T11 features USB fast charging. Before first use, fully charge the walkie-talkie battery. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the charging port on the device and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., a wall adapter, computer USB port, or power bank). The charging indicator light will typically show red while charging and turn green when fully charged.

5.2 Attaching the Belt Clip

Align the belt clip with the designated slots on the back of the walkie-talkie and secure it with the provided screws (if applicable) or by sliding it into place until it clicks.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

To power on the walkie-talkie, rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise until you hear a click and a tone. To power off, rotate the knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click.

6.2 Adjusting Volume

Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.

6.3 Selecting a Channel

The BF-T11 has 16 storage channels. Use the Channel Selector knob (usually the top-most knob) to select your desired channel. Ensure all radios in your group are on the same channel for communication.

6.4 Transmitting and Receiving

  • To Transmit: Press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button located on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone, holding the radio about 2-5 cm from your mouth. Release the PTT button to stop transmitting.
  • To Receive: When the PTT button is not pressed, the radio is in receive mode. You will hear incoming transmissions.

6.5 LED Flashlight

The BF-T11 includes an LED flashlight feature. Refer to the device's specific button layout for activating and deactivating the flashlight (often a short press of a dedicated button or a function key).

6.6 VOX Function (Voice Operated Exchange)

The BF-T11 supports VOX, allowing hands-free transmission when your voice is detected. This feature can be enabled or disabled through programming (if available) or a specific button combination. Consult the detailed programming guide if you wish to customize VOX settings.
