1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Installing the Batteries

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the handset.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the rechargeable battery pack, ensuring correct polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment cover.

4.2 Connecting the Base Unit

1. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the LINE port on the base unit.
2. Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to your telephone wall jack.
3. Connect the power adapter to the POWER port on the base unit.
4. Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.

4.3 Initial Charging

Place the handset(s) on the base unit or charging cradle(s). The handset display will indicate charging. Allow the handset to charge for at least 12-15 hours before initial use, even if the display shows a full battery. This ensures optimal battery performance.

4.4 Registering Additional Handsets (if applicable)

If you have multiple handsets, they may need to be registered to the base unit. Refer to the on-screen prompts or the full manual for specific registration steps. Typically, this involves putting the base unit into registration mode and then initiating registration from the handset.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Call Functions

• Making a Call:
  1. Press the Talk/Green button.
  2. Dial the desired phone number using the keypad.
  3. Press the End/Red button to end the call.
• Answering a Call: When the phone rings, press the Talk/Green button.
• Ending a Call: Press the End/Red button or place the handset back on the base/cradle.
• Redial: Press the R/CLR button to redial the last number called.

5.2 Volume Control

Use the Up/Down arrow buttons on the side of the handset during a call to adjust the earpiece volume. The base unit may also have volume controls for the speakerphone function.

5.3 Boost Function (AMP)

Press the AMP button on the side of the handset during a call to activate the audio boost function, increasing the earpiece volume for users with hearing difficulties.

5.4 One-Touch Memory Keys (M1, M2, M3)

The handset features three one-touch memory keys (M1, M2, M3) for quick dialing of frequently used numbers. To program these keys, refer to the detailed instructions in the full manual. Once programmed, simply press the desired memory key to dial the stored number.

5.5 Answering Machine Functions (Base Unit)

The base unit includes an integrated answering machine. Use the following buttons on the base unit to manage messages:

• MEMO: Accesses memo recording or playback.
• Play/Pause: Plays or pauses messages.
• Skip Forward/Backward: Navigates between messages.
• DEL: Deletes messages.
• OGM: Records or plays your outgoing message.

5.6 Intercom Function (Multi-Handset Systems)

If you have multiple registered handsets, you can use the intercom feature for quick internal communication between handsets. Press the INT button on the handset to initiate an intercom call to another handset.

• Cleaning: Wipe the phone and base unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid overcharging by removing the handset from the charger once fully charged if not in active use for extended periods. If the phone will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries.
• Storage: Store the phone in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
