Introduction

The LeeKooLuu YM529 is a professional OBD2 diagnostic device designed to help vehicle owners and technicians quickly identify and resolve issues related to their vehicle's engine, emissions, and battery health. This device supports full OBD2 modes, offers wireless diagnosis via a mobile application, and features a user-friendly interface. Setup

1. Powering the Device

   The YM529 scanner does not require an external battery or charger. It is powered directly from your vehicle's OBD2 Data Link Connector (DLC). Locate the 16-pin DLC, usually found under the dashboard on the driver's side, and plug the scanner's cable into it. The device will power on automatically.

2. Initial Language Setting

   Upon first use, you may need to select your preferred language. The device supports 13 languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Finnish, Dutch, Russian, and Portuguese. Navigate through the settings menu using the device buttons to select your language.

3. Mobile App Connection (Optional)

   For wireless diagnosis and enhanced features, download the official LeeKooLuu app on your iOS or Android smartphone. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and on the YM529 device (by pressing the 'BT' button). 1. OBD2 Diagnostics (Diagnosis Menu)

   • O2 Sensor Test: Retrieves O2 sensor monitoring test results for the most recently completed tests from the vehicle's on-board computer.
   • On-Board Monitor Test: Retrieves results for on-board diagnostic monitoring tests of specific components/systems.
   • Component Test: Allows initiation of a leak test for the vehicle's EVAP system.
   • Vehicle Information: Retrieves the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Calibration ID (CALID), and Calibration Verification Number (CVN).

2. Battery Monitoring (Battery Menu)

   • Car Battery Data: Displays current battery voltage.

Troubleshooting

• Device Does Not Power On

• Cannot Connect to Mobile App

  Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both the YM529 (press 'BT' button) and your smartphone. Ensure the app is installed and open. Keep the device within the 32.8 ft (10m) Bluetooth range. Restart both the device and the app if necessary.

• Codes Not Clearing

  After clearing codes, some DTCs may reappear if the underlying issue is not resolved. Address the root cause of the fault before attempting to clear codes again. Some monitors may require specific driving cycles to reset.

• No Communication with Vehicle

  Verify that your vehicle is OBD2 compliant (North American vehicles after 1996, European vehicles after 2003, 12V gasoline vehicles). Check the connection to the DLC. Try the scanner on another compatible vehicle to rule out a scanner fault.
