3. Setup Guide

3.1 Physical Installation

The camera supports multiple installation methods, including wall and ceiling mounting. Choose a location that provides optimal coverage and a stable Wi-Fi signal.

  1. Mounting Location: Select a suitable location for installation. Ensure the camera has a clear line of sight to the areas you wish to monitor.
  2. Drill Holes: Use the provided mounting template (if available) or mark the positions for drilling holes. Drill holes and insert the wall plugs.
  3. Secure Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the wall or ceiling using the provided screws.
  4. Attach Camera: Securely attach the camera to the mounting bracket.

3.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided power adapter to the camera's power input port.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The camera will power on.

3.3 Initial Reset (Recommended)

It is recommended to perform a factory reset before initial setup to ensure optimal performance.

  1. Locate the reset button on the camera (refer to Figure 2 for location).
  2. Long press the reset button for approximately 5-10 seconds until you hear a voice prompt indicating a successful reset.
  3. Wait for about 2 minutes for the camera to restart and enter pairing mode. You will hear a voice prompt when it's ready.

3.4 App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

The camera uses the HiEasy mobile application for remote control and monitoring.

  1. Download HiEasy App: Scan the QR code below or search for 'HiEasy' in your device's app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android).

  2. Register Account: Open the HiEasy app and follow the on-screen instructions to register a new account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Enable Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone. The app uses Bluetooth for initial device detection.
  4. Connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi: Connect your smartphone to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Note: The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi. Connecting to a 5GHz network will cause the connection to fail.
  5. Add Device: In the HiEasy app, navigate to 'My Devices' and click on 'Add Device'. The app should automatically detect the camera via Bluetooth.
  6. Enter Wi-Fi Password: Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the correct password.
  7. Device Naming: Once connected, you will be prompted to name your device (e.g., 'Front Door', 'Living Room').
  8. Initial Settings: Configure initial settings such as push alarm notifications and cloud storage preferences as needed. Click 'Complete' or 'OK'.
  9. The device will be added to your device list and is ready for use.

3.5 Network Connection Options

The camera supports both wireless and wired network connections:

  • Wi-Fi Connection: Connects to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network wirelessly.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Four-Lens Four-Screen Monitoring

The camera's quad-lens system allows for simultaneous monitoring of four different areas, displayed on four separate screens within the HiEasy app. This provides comprehensive coverage without blind spots.

4.2 PTZ Control and Optical Zoom

The camera features Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) functionality for flexible viewing angles.

  • Middle Lens: Supports electric rotation with a horizontal pan range of 0-355 degrees and a vertical tilt range of 0-100 degrees via the app.
  • Left and Right Lenses: Support manual pan rotation of 270 degrees and manual tilt adjustment of 90 degrees.
  • 12X Optical Zoom: All four lenses support 12X optical zoom, allowing you to zoom in on details without losing clarity.

4.3 Night Vision Modes

4.5 Two-Way Voice Intercom

The built-in microphone and speaker allow for real-time two-way audio communication through the HiEasy app. You can listen to the camera's surroundings and speak through the camera.

4.6 Video Recording and Playback

  • TF Card Storage: Insert a TF card (up to 256GB, not included) into the designated slot for local video storage.

4.8 Multi-User Remote Access

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Regularly clean the camera lenses and housing with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the camera's finish or lenses.

5.2 Weather Protection

The camera is rated IP66 waterproof, meaning it is protected against dust and powerful water jets. However, for prolonged durability:

  • Ensure all cable connections are properly sealed using the provided waterproof rubber plug.
  • Avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the camera for extended periods.

5.3 Firmware Updates

Periodically check the HiEasy app for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.

5.4 TF Card Management

If using a TF card for storage:

  • Ensure the TF card is properly inserted into the slot.
  • Format the TF card periodically through the app to maintain recording efficiency.
  • Replace the TF card if it shows signs of degradation or error.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not connecting to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
    • Verify the Wi-Fi password entered in the app is correct.
    • Place the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router to improve signal strength.
    • Perform a factory reset on the camera (refer to Section 3.3).
    • Check if your router has too many connected devices, which might affect new connections.
  • No video feed or offline status:
    • Check the power connection to ensure the camera is receiving power.
    • Verify your Wi-Fi connection is stable and the internet is working.

  • Frequent false alarms:

  • Poor night vision quality:
    • Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from smudges or dirt.

  • Two-way audio issues:

  • Wi-Fi Compatibility: Always ensure your home Wi-Fi is set to 2.4GHz when connecting the camera. 5GHz networks are not supported and will prevent successful connection.
