5. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your Neye S5 Smart Camera.
5.1 Initial Power-On and App Download
- Connect Power Supply: Plug in the camera using the provided power adapter. The camera will begin its startup sequence.
- Wait for Voice Prompts: The camera will announce "System startup has been completed" followed by "Please configure wifi".
- Reset if Necessary: If you do not hear the "Please configure wifi" prompt, gently press the reset button (located near the SD card slot) until you hear a "beep" sound, then release.
- Download the App: Search for "Neye3C" in the Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS), or scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide to download the application.
- Sign Up and Log In: Open the Neye3C app and create a new account or log in with an existing one.
5.2 Connecting to Wi-Fi
- Add Device: In the Neye3C app, click the "+" icon (usually in the top right corner) to add a new device.
- Select Connection Method: Choose "Smart Add" or "Add WiFi Camera Using Sonic" (recommended for easy setup).
- Confirm Device Status: The app will prompt you to ensure the device is connected to power, the blue light is flashing, and you hear the "please configure WIFI" sound. Click "NEXT".
- Enter Wi-Fi Password: Input your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password into the app.
- Important: The Wi-Fi name and password cannot contain special characters, punctuation, or spaces. They should also be 10 characters or less.
- The device does not support 5G Wi-Fi signals. Ensure you are connecting to a 2.4GHz network.
- Start Configuration: Click "NEXT" after entering the password, then click "Configure" in the next screen.
- Wait for Connection: The app will display a countdown. The camera will announce "wifi password has been obtained" and then "wifi connection successfully".
- Add New Device: Once connected, click "New device" in the app.
- Confirm Device Details: Review the device ID and other details, then click "OK".
- Connect to View: Click on the newly added device in your device list to start viewing the live feed.
5.3 Setup Cautions
- The device should be placed within 10 meters (approximately 33 feet) of your Wi-Fi router when configuring.
- Ensure your phone's media volume is turned to the maximum during configuration to allow the camera to hear the sonic pairing signal.
- Keep your phone and camera within 50cm (approximately 20 inches) during the configuration process.
- The device does not support 5G Wi-Fi signals. Please reconnect to a 2.4G signal to configure.
- The device does not support hiding Wi-Fi networks.
- The Wi-Fi name and password cannot contain Chinese characters or other special characters.

The camera features ultra-clear night vision with intelligent night vision and an ultra-clear lens. It supports both infrared night vision for clear black and white images in complete darkness and full-color night vision in low-light conditions, thanks to WDR wide dynamic technology and large aperture.


6.3 Automatic Motion Tracking & Human Form Detection
The camera supports tracking of moving objects and human forms, recording their movements without missing details. When an unwelcome presence is detected, a built-in siren can go off, and a spotlight can activate to deter intruders.

- Place the camera within 10 meters of the router during setup.
- Ensure your phone's volume is maxed out during sonic configuration.
- Try resetting the camera by pressing the reset button until it beeps.
- No voice prompt during setup:
- Press the reset button until you hear a "beep" to re-initiate the voice prompt.
- App connection timeout or failure:
- Reset the camera and try the configuration process again.
- Ensure your phone and camera are within 50cm during the configuration.
