8. Troubleshooting
This section provides general troubleshooting tips for common issues. For more complex problems, please contact customer support.
- Motor Not Engaging: Check all electrical connections, especially the main power cable from the battery to the controller, and the motor cable. Ensure the display is powered on and showing no error codes. Verify the PAS sensor is correctly installed and aligned.
- Display Not Turning On: Check the battery connection and ensure the battery is charged. Inspect the display cable for damage.
- Loss of Power/Intermittent Operation: This could indicate a loose connection, low battery charge, or an issue with the PAS sensor or throttle. Check all connections and battery level.
- Unusual Noises from Motor: Stop riding immediately. Inspect the motor for any obstructions or signs of internal damage. Contact support if the noise persists.
- Brake Cut-off Not Working: Ensure the brake levers/sensors are correctly installed and connected to the controller.
9. User Tips
- Battery Compatibility: Please note that the Varstrom 125XVH kit does NOT include a battery. You will need to purchase a compatible 48V eBike battery separately. Ensure the battery's connector matches the controller's input.
- Street-Legal Mode: For regions with 25 km/h speed limits, utilize the quick-switch function on your display (holding "+" and "-" or "Power" and "-" buttons) to comply with local regulations.
- App Connectivity: If your display supports Bluetooth and the "BIKEGO+" APP, download the app to access remote locking/unlocking features and advanced ride data tracking.
- Cable Management: After installation, take time to neatly route and secure all cables using the provided ties. This prevents snagging, wear, and improves the overall aesthetic of your eBike.
