3. Installation (Replacement)
Replacing a laptop battery requires careful handling. If you are unsure, please consult a professional technician or your laptop's specific service manual.
- Power Off and Disconnect: Completely shut down your laptop and disconnect it from the power adapter.
- Remove External Devices: Disconnect any external peripherals (USB devices, external monitors, etc.).
- Access Battery Compartment: Depending on your laptop model, the battery may be external (slide-out) or internal (requiring removal of the back panel). Refer to your laptop's manual for specific instructions on accessing the battery.
- Remove Old Battery: Carefully remove the old battery. For internal batteries, this may involve unscrewing retaining screws and gently disconnecting the battery cable from the motherboard.
- Install New Battery: Connect the new RozFaro battery cable to the motherboard connector. Ensure it is seated correctly. Secure the battery with any retaining screws.
- Reassemble: Reattach the laptop's back panel or secure the external battery.
- Initial Charge: Proceed to the 'Operating Instructions' section for initial charging.
4. Operating Instructions
Initial Charging and Activation:
New batteries are generally not fully charged. To activate your new battery and achieve optimal performance:
- Use the laptop on battery power until approximately 5% of the battery charge remains.
- Connect the laptop to its power adapter and charge the battery in the OFF state until the power indicator turns green or goes out.
- It is strictly forbidden to discharge the battery completely to 0%, as this can lead to charging issues and performance degradation.
- The battery typically requires three to four full charge and discharge cycles to reach its highest efficiency.
- During charging and discharging, a slight temperature increase is normal.
5. Maintenance and Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your battery.
- Regular Charging: If the battery is idle for a long time, charge it once a month to maintain the lithium-ion cells. Fully charged batteries will naturally discharge over time.
- Charging Practices:
- Charge the battery in the off state for best results.
- Do not unplug the power supply during charging.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and discharged during cycles; avoid partial charges/discharges to maximize battery life.
- Physical Handling: Avoid artificial impact, disassembly, dropping, heating, or short-circuiting the battery.
- Charging Equipment: Always use a dedicated and compatible charging device (your laptop's original power adapter or a certified replacement).
- Temperature: Avoid using or storing the battery in environments with excessively high or low temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting
New Battery Not Charging:
If your new battery initially appears not to charge, this is usually not a defect. When a device charges a battery for the first time, voltage and current instability can sometimes cause the device to stop charging prematurely (e.g., at half charge).
Solution:
- Completely discharge the battery (use the laptop until it powers off due to low battery).
- Reconnect the power adapter and recharge the battery fully.
- Repeat this charge/discharge cycle a few times. The first charge may require several repetitions to stabilize.
General Battery Issues:
- Battery Not Recognized: Ensure the battery is correctly installed and its connector is firmly seated. Restart your laptop.
- Short Battery Life: Review 'Maintenance and Care' section. Ensure proper charging cycles. Check laptop power settings for optimization.
- Overheating: If the battery or laptop overheats significantly, discontinue use immediately and consult a technician. Ensure laptop vents are clear.
7. Warranty and Support
Your RozFaro SQU-1609 series battery comes with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.
- Defective Goods: If the product is defective upon receipt, please inform the seller within 3 days.
- Warranty Claims: If the battery becomes damaged or defective due to non-human reasons within the one-year warranty period, you may return it for replacement. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Replacements will be shipped within 3-5 working days after receiving the defective unit.
- Return/Exchange Requests: For any return or exchange requests, please contact the seller via email or messaging before returning the goods.
8. User Tips
- Optimize Power Settings: Adjust your laptop's power management settings to extend battery life. Use 'Balanced' or 'Power Saver' modes when not performing intensive tasks.
- Software Updates: Keep your operating system and drivers updated. Sometimes, software optimizations can improve battery efficiency.
- Avoid Multitasking on Battery: Running many applications simultaneously, especially resource-intensive ones, will drain the battery faster. Close unnecessary programs.
- Screen Brightness: Reduce screen brightness to conserve power. The display is often one of the biggest power consumers.
- Disconnect Peripherals: Unplug USB devices, external hard drives, and other peripherals when not in use, as they can draw power from the battery.
