Setup and Installation

The Varstrom 125XVH kit is designed for DIY-friendly installation with tool-free mounting for most bikes and plug-and-play wiring. No professional help is typically needed.

1. Choose the Correct Wheel Size

Ensure you select the hub motor that matches your bicycle's wheel size. Refer to the tire sidewall for the marked size (e.g., 26x1.95).

Guide to selecting the appropriate wheel size for your conversion kit.

How to Choose Suitable Wheel Size:

  1. Step 1: Find where the tire size is marked on your bike.
  2. Step 2: Check the label number (example: if it says 26x1.95 as shown).
  3. Step 3: Determine tire size. Follow step 2 to determine and confirm that your bicycle tires are 26 inches.

2. Brake Type Compatibility

The kit supports both Disc Brake and V-Brake systems. Choose the appropriate brake component (Brake Lever or Brake Sensor) based on your bicycle's existing brake type.

  • If your brake is a Mechanical brake, you should choose our Brake Lever.
  • If your brake is a Hydraulic brake, you should choose our Brake Sensor. If you don't want to change your brake lever, you can still choose our Brake Sensor.
