8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Tiny DAC, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Sound Output:
    • Ensure the Tiny DAC is firmly connected to your source device and headphones.
    • Verify that the Tiny DAC is selected as the primary audio output device in your operating system's sound settings.
    • Check the volume levels on both your source device and any in-line headphone controls.
    • Test with different headphones or a different audio source to isolate the problem.
  • Distorted or Poor Sound Quality:
    • Ensure your audio files are of good quality and not corrupted.
    • Check that all cables are fully inserted and not damaged.
    • Try disabling any software-based audio enhancements on your source device.
    • If using the FiiO Control App, reset PEQ settings to default to see if custom settings are causing distortion.
  • Device Not Recognized by Source:
    • Disconnect and reconnect the Tiny DAC.
    • Try connecting to a different USB Type-C port on your source device.
    • Restart your source device (smartphone, PC, etc.).
    • Ensure your source device's operating system is up to date.
    • If applicable, check the UAC protocol version setting in the FiiO Control App and try switching between UAC1.0 and UAC2.0.

9. User Tips

  • For the best audio experience, use high-quality audio files (e.g., FLAC, WAV, DSD) and well-matched headphones.
  • Experiment with the PEQ tuning feature in the FiiO Control App to personalize your sound profile to your specific headphones and musical preferences.
