1. Introduction
The GoRef Football Referee Intercom Headset is a full-duplex Bluetooth 5.1 communication system designed for referees. It enables wireless communication among up to 4 riders (users) with a maximum call distance of 1200 meters in ideal conditions. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your GoRef intercom system.

3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Unit
Before first use, fully charge the GoRef unit using the provided Micro-USB cable. Connect the cable to the unit's charging port and a standard USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The charging indicator will show the charging status.
3.2 Attaching the Earpiece
Connect the earpiece to the designated port on the GoRef unit. Ensure it is securely plugged in.
3.3 Wearing the Unit
The GoRef unit is designed to be worn using the provided armband. Follow these steps for proper installation:
- Insert the GoRef unit into the armband pouch.
- Adjust the armband strap to fit comfortably and securely on your arm.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator light turns on.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator light turns off.
4.2 Intercom Pairing and Communication
The GoRef system supports full-duplex communication among up to 4 users. Refer to the specific pairing instructions in the included user manual for detailed steps on connecting multiple units. The communication range is up to 1200 meters (1500 meters in ideal conditions) in an open environment.

4.3 Microphone Mute Function
The GoRef unit features a unique microphone off function. This allows you to mute or disable your microphone during communication without disconnecting from the intercom group.
- To Mute/Disable: Locate the microphone control button/switch (refer to the unit's physical layout) and activate it.
- To Unmute/Enable: Deactivate the microphone control button/switch.

4.4 Important Note on Mobile Phone Connectivity
The GoRef intercom function is specifically designed for referee-to-referee communication and cannot be paired with mobile phones for communication purposes. However, it supports A2DP for stereo music/audio playback from compatible devices like MP3 players or GPS units, if applicable to your specific model variant.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Wipe the GoRef unit and earpiece with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure all ports are free from dust and debris.
5.2 Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the unit frequently. Charge the unit regularly, especially if it will not be used for an extended period. Store the unit in a cool, dry place.
6. Troubleshooting
- Unit does not power on: Ensure the unit is fully charged. If the issue persists, try a different charging cable or power source.
- Cannot pair with other units: Ensure both units are in pairing mode and within range. Follow the specific pairing instructions in the full user manual carefully.
- Poor audio quality/intermittent connection: Check the distance between units and ensure there are no major obstructions. Fully charge both units.
- No communication with mobile phone: As stated, the GoRef intercom function is not designed for direct communication with mobile phones. This is normal operation.
