- Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
- Insert the battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight.
- Screw the tail cap back on securely.
Warning:
- Do not use batteries not provided by TrustFire to avoid damaging the battery or flashlight.
- 14500 batteries are industrial batteries, not safe civilian batteries. Poor quality or improperly used batteries (short circuit, high temperature, etc.) may burn or explode, endangering personal and property safety.
- Using high-quality lithium-ion batteries with protection plates can reduce the risk of certain operations. It is recommended to use TrustFire series batteries.
- Alkaline/NiMH batteries can be used, but charging in the flashlight is not allowed when using these battery types.

2. Charging (for 14500 USB Battery)
If using the recommended 14500 USB rechargeable battery, you can charge it directly via the USB-C port on the battery itself. The flashlight does not have an integrated charging port for the battery.
- Remove the 14500 USB battery from the flashlight.
- Connect the USB-C charging cable to the battery's USB-C port and to a suitable USB power source.
- The battery's indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
Operation
One-Button Control
The L2S-SE-UV flashlight features a simple one-button operation located on the tail cap.

- Power ON/OFF: Press the tail button completely until it clicks to turn the flashlight on or off.
- Shift Gear (Brightness Adjustment): When the flashlight is on, click the button repeatedly within 0.5 seconds to cycle through brightness modes: Low → Middle → High.

Applications
The 365nm UV light is versatile for various detection purposes:
- Fluorescent Agent Detection: Ideal for detecting fluorescent agents in laundry detergent, shampoo, cosmetics, and other materials. A blue light indicates the presence of a fluorescent agent.

Detecting fluorescent agents in fabrics. - Paper Product Inspection: Useful for testing toilet paper, diapers, and other paper products for fluorescent ingredients. Blue light indicates their presence.

Inspecting paper products for fluorescent additives. - Jewelry and Gemstone Examination: UV light can detect whether jade or other gemstones contain fluorescent components, aiding in authenticity verification.

Examining gemstones for fluorescent properties. - Pet Stain and Urine Detection: Helps reveal hidden pet stains and urine that are invisible to the naked eye.
- Scorpion Detection: Scorpions fluoresce under UV light, making them easier to spot in dark environments.
- Banknote and Document Verification: Can be used to check security features on currency, passports, and other official documents.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight body with a clean, soft cloth. For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratches.
- O-rings: Periodically check the O-rings for wear and tear. Replace them if damaged to maintain the IPX8 waterproof rating. Lubricate O-rings with silicone grease if needed.
- Battery Care: If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
- Waterproof Rating: The L2S-SE-UV is IPX8 waterproof, meaning it can be submerged in water up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. Ensure the tail cap is securely tightened before exposing it to water.

The flashlight is designed to be waterproof for reliable use.
