5. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Keyboard: Carefully remove the keyboard and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Connect the USB Cable: Insert the USB-C end of the provided 8K data cable into the keyboard's USB-C port. Connect the USB-A end to an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Initial Recognition: Your computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. This may take a few moments.
  4. Install Driver Software (Optional but Recommended): For full customization and advanced features, download and install the dedicated Web Driver / Client Driver software from the official SUMREDA website. This software allows you to configure magnetic axis settings, key travel, macros, and lighting effects.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Usage

The keyboard functions as a standard QWERTY keyboard upon connection. All keys are pre-programmed for typical use.

6.2 Customizing Key Travel and Actuation

The magnetic switches allow for dynamic key travel customization. Use the dedicated driver software to:

  • Adjust the actuation point of individual keys.
  • Set "Quick Trigger" for rapid key presses.
  • Configure "Sensitivity" for precise control.
  • Utilize "Dual 0 dead zone adjustable continuous touch" for enhanced responsiveness.

6.3 Advanced Functions

The keyboard supports various advanced functions configurable through the driver software:

  • SOCD: Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions (for fighting games).
  • Music Rhythm: Lighting effects synchronized with audio.
  • TGL (Toggle): Toggles a function on/off.
  • MT (Mod Tap): Key acts as a modifier when held, and a regular key when tapped.
  • Key Macros: Program complex sequences of key presses.
  • MPT (Multi-Press Tap): Different actions based on multiple taps.
  • END: End key functionality.

6.4 ARGB Lighting Control

The keyboard features per-key ARGB lighting. Use the driver software to:

  • Select from various lighting effects and patterns.
  • Customize individual key colors.
  • Adjust brightness and speed of effects.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Keycaps: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the keycaps. For deeper cleaning, keycaps can be carefully removed using a keycap puller (not included) and washed with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
  • Keyboard Body: Wipe the keyboard body with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution.
  • Dust: Use the provided dust cover when the keyboard is not in use to prevent dust accumulation. A can of compressed air can be used to blow out dust and debris from between the keys.

7.2 Magnetic Switch Care

The magnetic switches are designed for durability. If a switch feels inconsistent, you may use the provided spare shaft to replace it. Ensure the keyboard is disconnected before attempting any switch replacement.

8. Troubleshooting

Keyboard not responding:
  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
  • Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
  • Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out a system-specific issue.
  • Restart your computer.
Keys not registering or double-typing:
  • Clean around the affected key(s) with compressed air.
  • Check the driver software for any custom key travel settings that might be too sensitive or too high. Reset to default if necessary.
  • Consider replacing the magnetic switch if the issue persists (refer to Maintenance section).
RGB lighting not working or incorrect:
  • Ensure the driver software is installed and running.
  • Check lighting settings within the driver software.
  • Update the keyboard firmware via the driver software if available.
Driver software not detecting keyboard:
  • Make sure the keyboard is properly connected via USB.
  • Reinstall the driver software.
  • Temporarily disable any antivirus or firewall software that might be interfering.
