7. Maintenance and Cleaning

The glass-ceramic surface is designed for easy cleaning and durability.

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, allow the hob to cool completely. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild dish soap. Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth.
  • Stubborn Stains: For burnt-on food or stubborn stains, use a specialized ceramic hob scraper and a ceramic hob cleaner. Follow the product instructions for the cleaner.
  • Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can scratch or damage the glass-ceramic surface.
  • Spills: Wipe up spills immediately, especially sugary liquids, to prevent them from burning onto the surface and causing permanent damage.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your hob, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Hob does not turn onNo power supply; Child lock activated; Incorrect operation.Check if the plug is securely in the socket. Deactivate the child lock by pressing and holding the lock button. Ensure correct power-on sequence.
Heating zone not heatingIncorrect cookware; Zone not selected; Overheating protection activated.Ensure cookware is compatible and has a flat bottom. Select the correct heating zone. Allow the hob to cool if overheating protection has triggered.
Hob turns off unexpectedlyOverheating protection; Automatic shut-off (timer expired).Allow the hob to cool down. Check if the timer was set and has expired.
Display shows an error codeInternal malfunction.Refer to the specific error code in a more detailed manual (if available) or contact customer support. Try resetting the hob by unplugging it for a few minutes.
Residual heat indicator stays onSurface is still hot. This is normal. Wait for the surface to cool down completely.

9. User Tips

  • Power Management: Each heating zone operates independently with 9 power levels. While each zone can reach up to 1600W, you can adjust the power level to manage total consumption, which is particularly useful if you have a limited power supply (e.g., solar energy with a 3 kW inverter). Experiment with lower power settings for simmering or keeping food warm to optimize energy usage.
  • Even Cooking: The infrared heating technology ensures even heat distribution. For best results, use cookware with a flat, thick base that matches the size of the heating zone.
  • Timer for Precision: Utilize the timer function for dishes that require precise cooking times, preventing overcooking and saving energy by automatically shutting off.
