User Manual

1. Introduction

The BT40 Series Motorcycle Helmet Bluetooth Headset is designed to provide seamless communication and entertainment while riding. Featuring Bluetooth 5.0 technology, dual phone connectivity, and intelligent noise cancellation, it ensures clear audio and stable connections. Its ultra-thin, ergonomic design ensures comfort within various helmet types, and its waterproof construction allows for use in diverse weather conditions.

2. Safety Information

Important Charging Notice:

Please use a DC 5V-1A power charger to charge the headset. The maximum output power of the charger should not exceed 5W. Do not use fast chargers for this device to prevent damage. (Charging plug not included).

3. Package Contents

The package includes the BT40 Series Helmet Bluetooth Headset and necessary accessories for installation. The installation method is simple and designed for ease of use.

4. Setup and Installation

The headset is designed for easy installation into various helmet types. Follow these steps:

  1. Attach Velcro: Attach the provided Velcro pads to the designated locations inside the helmet, typically near the ear areas.
  2. Place Earbuds and Adjust Microphone: Position the earbuds inside the helmet, ensuring they are comfortable and do not press on your ears. Adjust the flexible microphone boom so it is close to your mouth for optimal voice pickup.
  3. Route Connecting Wire: Carefully route the connecting wire of the earbud inside the top of the inner lining of your helmet to keep it secure and out of the way.
  4. Final Adjustment: After installation, adjust the helmet's lining to ensure a snug and comfortable fit. The headset is now ready to use.

The earbuds are small and thin (width 39.8mm, thickness 8.7mm) to ensure they are lightweight and do not cause discomfort or pressure on the ears when worn inside the helmet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Controls

The headset features intuitive controls for easy operation:

  • Volume '-' / Next Track: Press to decrease volume. Long press to skip to the next track.
  • Power On/Off / Voice Mode: Press and hold to power the device on or off. Double-tap to activate voice mode. Double-click during pairing to switch between Chinese and English voice prompts.
  • Volume '+' / Previous Song: Press to increase volume. Long press to go to the previous song.

5.2. Bluetooth Pairing

The headset utilizes Bluetooth 5.0 for stable and low-latency connections. Refer to your phone's Bluetooth settings to pair with the BT40 headset. The device name should appear as 'BT40'.

5.3. Call Management

The headset supports automatic answering of incoming calls for enhanced safety while riding. The caller number will be reported, and the call will be automatically answered.

5.4. Dual Phone Connectivity

The BT40 headset can connect to two mobile phones simultaneously. Any incoming call from either phone will be automatically answered first, ensuring you don't miss important calls.

6. Maintenance

The BT40 headset features a waterproof microphone, allowing for use in rainy conditions. To maintain optimal performance:

  • Keep the charging port clean and dry.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures.
  • Clean the earbuds and microphone gently with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Ensure the headset is fully dry before charging if it has been exposed to moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect to a DC 5V-1A charger for 2 hours.
  • Cannot Pair: Make sure the headset is in pairing mode (usually indicated by a flashing LED). Turn off and on your phone's Bluetooth and try again. Ensure no other devices are connected to the headset.
  • Poor Sound Quality: Check the earbud placement within the helmet. Ensure the microphone is positioned correctly. Verify that the helmet lining is not obstructing the earbuds.
  • Noise During Calls: The headset features dual intelligent noise cancellation. If you experience excessive noise, ensure the microphone is not obstructed and is positioned correctly.
