5. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to connect your UGREEN Capture Card for live streaming or recording:

  1. Connect HDMI Input: Connect your source device (e.g., game console like Switch/PS5, camera, TV Box, DV) to the HDMI IN port on the capture card using an HDMI cable.
  2. Connect HDMI Output (Optional): If you wish to monitor your video on a separate display, connect your monitor, HDTV, or projector to the HDMI OUT port on the capture card using an HDMI cable.
  3. Connect to Computer: Use the provided 2-in-1 USB A and C cable to connect the USB-C port on the capture card to a USB 3.0/3.2 Gen 1 port on your computer (Laptop/Desktop).
  4. Connect Audio Devices (Optional):
    • For microphone input, connect your active microphone to the MIC IN port.
    • For external audio mixing, connect your mixer to the LINE IN port.
    • For audio monitoring, connect your headphones or speakers to the AUDIO OUT port.
  5. Software Setup: Install and configure your preferred capture/streaming software (e.g., OBS Studio, Streamlabs OBS) on your computer. Select the UGREEN Capture Card as your video and audio input device within the software.

6. Operating Instructions

Once connected, your UGREEN Capture Card is ready for use. Here's how to operate it for common tasks:

6.1. Video Capture and Recording

  1. Ensure all connections are secure as described in the Setup section.
  2. Open your chosen video capture software (e.g., OBS Studio).
  3. Add a new "Video Capture Device" source and select the UGREEN Capture Card.
  4. Configure video resolution, frame rate, and recording format (MJPEG/YUY2/NV12/1420/P010/XRGB) within the software settings. The card supports up to 4K@60Hz input and 1080P@240Hz capture.
  5. Add an "Audio Input Capture" source and select the capture card's audio input if you are using external audio devices.
  6. Start recording or streaming from your software.
