Figure 3.1: Typical System Connection

This diagram illustrates a typical setup for the inverter, integrating solar panels, a utility grid, a generator, a battery bank, and home loads. The inverter acts as the central management unit, converting DC power from solar panels and batteries to AC power for your home, and managing charging from both solar and utility sources. Monitoring can be done via WiFi and a dedicated application.

Voltage Configuration:

Voltage diagram illustrating single-phase 120V and split-phase 120V/240V wiring configurations.

Figure 3.2: Single-phase and Split-phase Voltage Diagrams

The inverter supports both single-phase 120V and split-phase 120V/240V configurations. Refer to the diagram for correct wiring:

  • Single-phase 120V: Connect the Line (L) and Neutral (N) from the grid power to the inverter, and then connect the inverter's L and N outputs to your AC loads, providing 120V.
  • Split-phase 120V/240V: Connect Line 1 (L1), Line 2 (L2), and Neutral (N) from the grid power to the inverter. The inverter will then provide 120V between L1/N and L2/N, and 240V between L1/L2 to your AC loads.

Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized before powering on the unit.

4. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the inverter can be operated and monitored via its OLED screen and optional mobile application.

Initial Power-Up:

  1. Ensure all wiring connections are correct and secure.
  2. Turn on the battery breaker, then the PV array breaker (if applicable), and finally the AC input breaker.
  3. Switch the ON/OFF rocker switch on the inverter to the 'ON' position.
  4. The OLED screen will light up, displaying the system status.

Monitoring and Configuration:

The OLED screen provides real-time data and allows for user-configurable settings. Use the buttons adjacent to the screen to navigate menus and adjust parameters such as:

  • Battery charging current.
  • AC/solar charger priority (e.g., Solar first, Utility first).
  • Acceptable input voltage range.
  • Output voltage and frequency.
  • Battery type and charging parameters.

Refer to the on-screen menu for detailed options. For remote monitoring and control, connect the optional WiFi module and use the dedicated mobile application.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your inverter.

  • Cleaning: Keep the inverter's exterior clean and free from dust. Use a dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners. Ensure ventilation openings are clear.
  • Connection Checks: Periodically inspect all wiring connections (AC input/output, PV, battery, grounding) to ensure they are tight and free from corrosion.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the area around the inverter remains clear and well-ventilated to prevent heat buildup.
  • Battery Health: Monitor battery voltage and health as recommended by your battery manufacturer.
